MEMS gyroscope is a new inertial navigation sensor,which can measure the input angular rate of sensitive axis using Coriolis effect.Compared to the conventional gyroscope,it owns many unique advantages.A novel structure of vibrating ring gyroscope is proposed and the finite element model of the oscillator is established based on MEMS technology.Through the modal analysis,the natural frequency and mode shapes of the oscillator are obtained.By analyzing the effects of the structural parameters on the mode shapes and frequency of the harmonic oscillator,the optimal design parameters are got.The frequency difference between the operating mode and the other modes is greater than 1kHz after optimization,which can avoid the frequency coupling of the operating mode and other vibrating modes of the oscillator.The simulation results show that the performance parameters of the ring structure meet the design requirements and have obvious advantages. 展开更多

A method of space-time block coding (STBC) system based on adaptive beamforming of cyclostationarity signal algorithm is proposed.The method uses cyclostationarity of signals to achieve adaptive beamforming,then constructs a pair of low correlated transmit beams based on beamform estimation of multiple component signals of uplink.Using these two selected transmit beams,signals encoded by STBC are transmitted to achieve diversity gain and beamforming gain at the same time,and increase the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of downlink.With simple computation and fast convergence performance,the proposed scheme is applicable for time division multiple access (TDMA) wireless communication operated in a complex interference environment.Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has better performance than conventional STBC,and can obtain a gain of about 5 dB when the bit error ratio (BER) is 10-4. 展开更多

Aimed at the problem of narrow tunability and low frequency microwave signal generated by the optical method,a novel approach to stabilizing the tunable photonic microwave generated by the multi-wavelength Brillouin fiber laser is proposed and is experimentally demonstrated.A singlelongitudinal-mode Brillouin fiber laser is designed,and by using the laser,a multi-wavelength Brillouin fiber laser with more than eleven orders of Stokes wave is observed.The wavelength spacing of the adjacent Stokes wave is 0.085 nm.If the Brillouin pump power is increased,the number of Stokes wave output can be further increased.The tunable microwave signals of 10.8 and 21.6 GHz are obtained by heterodyning the Rayleigh wave and Stokes wave of the multiwavelength Brillouin fiber laser.In the experiment,by tuning the pump wavelength and temperature of the gain fiber,microwave signals at different frequencies are generated.The tunable frequency range can be further expanded by using a temperature controller with a wider adjustment range,and the generated microwave signal exhibits high stability on frequency. 展开更多

Effects of loading waveforms on rock damage using particle simulation method 被引量:5

The particle simulation method is used to study the effects of loading waveforms (i.e. square, sinusoidal and triangle waveforms) on rock damage at mesoscopic scale. Then some influencing factors on rock damage at the mesoscopic scale, such as loading frequency, stress amplitude, mean stress, confining pressure and loading sequence, are also investigated with sinusoidal waveform in detail. The related numerical results have demonstrated that: 1) the loading waveform has a certain effect on rock failure processes. The square waveform has the most damage within these waveforms, while the triangle waveform has less damage than sinusoidal waveform. In each cycle, the number of microscopic cracks increases in the loading stage, while it keeps nearly constant in the unloading stage. 2) The loading frequency, stress amplitude, mean stress, confining pressure and loading sequence have considerable effects on rock damage subjected to cyclic loading. The higher the loading frequency, stress amplitude and mean stress, the greater the damage the rock accumulated; in contrast, the lower the confining pressure, the greater the damage the rock has accumulated. 3) There is a threshold value of mean stress and stress amplitude, below which no further damage accumulated after the first few cycle loadings. 4) The high-to-low loading sequence has more damage than the low-to-high loading sequence, suggesting that the rock damage is loading-path dependent. 展开更多

In order to promote the tolerance and controllability of the multi-degree-of-freedom(M-DOF) ultrasonic motor, a novel two-degree-of-freedom(2-DOF) spherical ultrasonic motor using three traveling-wave type annular stators was put forward. Firstly,the structure and working principle of this motor were introduced, especially a spiral spring as the preload applied component was designed for adaptive adjustment. Then, the friction drive model of 2-DOF spherical motor was built up from spatial geometric relation between three annular stators and the spherical rotor which was used to analyze the mechanical characteristics of the motor.The optimal control strategy for minimum norm solution of three stators' angular velocity was proposed, using Moore-Penrose generalized inverse matrix. Finally, a 2-DOF prototype was fabricated and tested, which ran stably and controllably. The maximum no-load velocity and stall torque are 92 r/min and 90 m N·m, respectively. The 2-DOF spherical ultrasonic motor has compact structure, easy assembly, good performance and stable operation. 展开更多

With the challenge from services diversity grows greatly,the service-oriented supporting ability is required to current high-speed passive optical network(PON) .Aimed to enhance the quality of service(Qo S) brought by diversified-services,this paper proposes an Simplified Echo State Network(SESN) Based Services Awareness scheme in High-Speed PON(Passive Optical Network) .In this proposed scheme,the ring topology is adopted in the reservoir of SESN to reduce the complexity of original Echo State Network,and system dynamics equation is introduced to keep the accuracy of SESN.According to the network architecture of 10G-EPON,a SESN Master is running in the OLT and a number of SESN Agents work in ONUs.The SESN Master plays the main function of service-awareness from the total view of various kinds services in 10G-EPON system,by fully SESN training.Then,the reservoir information of well-trained SESN in OLT will be broadcasted to all ONUs and those SESN Agents working in ONUs are allowed to conducts independent service-awareness function.Thus,resources allocation and transport policy are both determined just only in ONUs.Simulation results show that the proposed mechanism is able to better supporting ability for multiple services. 展开更多

The precise bound solution of Dirac equation with the potential is gained when the scalar potential is equal to the vector potential. The angular equation and radial equation are obtained through the variable separation method. The results indicate that the normalized angle wave function can be expressed with the generalized associated-Legendre polynomial, and the normalized radial wave function can be expressed with confluent hypergeometric function. And then the precise energy spectrum equations are obtained. The ground state and several low excited states of the system are solved. And those results are compared with the non-relativistic effect energy level in Phys. Lett. A 340 (2005) 94. The positive energy states of system are discussed and the conclusions are made properly. 展开更多

Two WDM signals at the wavelength of 1 549.3 nm and 1 550.9 nm are respectively converted simultaneously with a maximum wavelength shift of 6.4 nm for the first time. High nondegeneration FWM is observed for a detuning range over 3 THz. This scheme has better conversion efficiency than that of conventional single semiconductor optical amplifier converter. 展开更多

This method can efficiently filter out the compact desired chirp signal, with a consequence that the cyclically uncorrelated interferences and stationary (colored) Gaussian noise are greatly suppressed in the Opt- FrFT domain. This improves the MSE minimization cyclic beamformer by reducing effectively the Opt-FrFY domain signal-noise cross terms in the presence of finite data length de-correlation operation. Simulation results show that the new method works well under a wide range of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and signal-to-interference ratio (SIR). 展开更多

The twin impulse wave leads to very complicated flow fields, such as Mach stem, spherical waves, and vortex ring. The twin impulse wave discharged from the exits of the two tubes placed in parallel is investigated to understand the detailed flow physics associated with the twin impulse wave, compared with those in a single impulse wave. In the current study, the merging phenomena and propagation characteristics of the impulse waves are investigated using a shock tube experiment and by numerical computations. The Harten-Yee''s total variation diminishing (TVD) scheme is used to solve the unsteady two-dimensional compressible Euler equations. The Mach number Ms of incident shock wave is changed below 1.5 and the distance between two-parallel tubes, L/d, is changed from 1.2 to 4.0. In the shock tube experiment, the twin impulse waves are visualized by a Schlieren optical system for the purpose of validation of computational work. The results obtained show that on the symmetric axis between two-parallel tubes, the peak pressure produced by the twin impulse waves and its location strongly depend upon the distance between two-parallel tubes, L/d and the incident shock Mach number, Ms. The predicted Schlieren images represent the measured twin-impulse wave with a good accuracy. 展开更多

Employing a Sagnac loop mirror fabricated by an 85-cm-long polarization-maintaining fiber(PMF), the proposed YDFL can operate with stable dual-wavelength lasing or tunable single-wavelength lasing around 1 064 nm. Both stable dual-wavelength lasing and tunable single-wavelength lasing are achieved by adjusting a polarization controller in the Sagnac loop mirror. The experimental results show that the output of the proposed fiber laser with two different operation modes is rather stable at room temperature. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To investigate a quantitative method for using radial artery pulse waveforms to assess the effect of pulsatile flow during cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB).METHODS: A total of 34 adults with heart disease who underwent open-heart surgery between April2010 and January 2011 were randomized into a pulsatile perfusion group(n=17) and a non-pulsatile perfusion group(n=17). Radial arterial pulse waveforms of pulsatile and non-pulsatile perfusion patients were observed and compared before and during CPB.RESULTS: No pulse waveform could be detected at patients' radial artery in both groups when the aorta was cross-clamped. Pulse waveforms could be detected at pulsatile perfusion patients' radial artery, but could not be detected at non-pulsatile perfusion patients' radial artery during CPB. Additionally, patients' pulse waveforms during pulsatile perfusion were lower than those before the operation.CONCLUSION: Our findings indicate that radial artery sphygmogram can be used as a valid indicator to evaluate the effectiveness of pulsatile perfusion during CPB. 展开更多

Large size mechanical seals are one of the most important components used in reactor coolant pumps.However,the hydrodynamic seal rings with wavy face are difficult to machine due to their high hardness and high form accuracy demand.In order to solve this difficult problem,a novel four-axis linkage grinding method using a cup wheel to process the hydrodynamic seal rings by line contact was proposed.A preliminary study indicates that the form error of the ground seal ring surface is extremely sensitive to different linkage relations of the four axes.By taking the center height of the cup wheel and the laws of motion along the X-axis,Z-axis,B-axis and C-axis as control variables,their effects on the principle form error of the ground surface are evaluated.Six implementation strategies are proposed to reach lower principle form errors.It is found that the minimal principle form error is only 9.64 nm and hence its influence on the ground seal ring shape can be neglected in designing an ultra-precision grinding machine.In addition,the results indicate that the position accuracy of the X-axis at the microscale is acceptable no matter which implementation strategy is selected.This study is expected to serve as a theoretical basis for design and development of the four-axis ultra-precision grinding machine. 展开更多
