钠冷快堆燃料棒表面缠绕的绕丝能够强化通道间的冷却剂横向流动,降低组件盒内温度分布的不均匀性,提升反应堆安全性。现有的子通道程序通过采用不同类型的绕丝交混模型,模拟了绕丝对组件盒内各类参数计算结果的影响。为了研究不同绕丝... 钠冷快堆燃料棒表面缠绕的绕丝能够强化通道间的冷却剂横向流动,降低组件盒内温度分布的不均匀性,提升反应堆安全性。现有的子通道程序通过采用不同类型的绕丝交混模型,模拟了绕丝对组件盒内各类参数计算结果的影响。为了研究不同绕丝交混模型对钠冷快堆组件盒内流动与传热模拟的影响,基于Mikityuk对流传热模型以及Cheng-Todreas流动压降模型,分别采用强迫横流模型以及带绕丝湍流交混模型建立了子通道分析方法,并与美国ORNL开展的FFM-2A实验数据以及其他子通道程序针对该实验的分析结果进行了对比验证。结果表明在低流量条件下两种模型均能较好模拟带绕丝组件的流动与传热情况;在高流量条件下使用强迫横流模型分析结果与实验符合较好,使用带绕丝湍流交混模型的分析结果高估了靠近中心通道的出口冷却剂温度。 展开更多

Based on Gaussian mixture models(GMM), speed, flow and occupancy are used together in the cluster analysis of traffic flow data. Compared with other clustering and sorting techniques, as a structural model, the GMM is suitable for various kinds of traffic flow parameters. Gap statistics and domain knowledge of traffic flow are used to determine a proper number of clusters. The expectation-maximization (E-M) algorithm is used to estimate parameters of the GMM model. The clustered traffic flow pattems are then analyzed statistically and utilized for designing maximum likelihood classifiers for grouping real-time traffic flow data when new observations become available. Clustering analysis and pattern recognition can also be used to cluster and classify dynamic traffic flow patterns for freeway on-ramp and off-ramp weaving sections as well as for other facilities or things involving the concept of level of service, such as airports, parking lots, intersections, interrupted-flow pedestrian facilities, etc. 展开更多

The connectivity between nodes is jud... An adaptive topology learning approach is proposed to learn the topology of a practical camera network in an unsupervised way. The nodes are modeled by the Gaussian mixture model. The connectivity between nodes is judged by their cross-correlation function, which is also used to calculate their transition time distribution. The mutual information of the connected node pair is employed for transition probability calculation. A false link eliminating approach is proposed, along with a topology updating strategy to improve the learned topology. A real monitoring system with five disjoint cameras is built for experiments. Comparative results with traditional methods show that the proposed method is more accurate in topology learning and is more robust to environmental changes. 展开更多

Due to the fact that headway is a key factor to be considered in bus scheduling, this paper proposes a bi-level programming model for optimizing bus headway in public transit lines. In this model, with the interests of bus companies and passengers in mind, the upper-level model's objective is to minimize the total cost, which is affected by frequency settings, both in time and economy in the transit system. The lower-level model is a transit assignment model used to describe the assignment of passengers' trips to the network based on the optimal bus headway. In order to solve the proposed model, a hybrid genetic algorithm, namely the genetic algorithm and the simulated annealing algorithm (GA-SA), is designed. Finally, the model and the algorithm are tested against the transit data, by taking some of the bus lines of Changzhou city as an example. Results indicate that the proposed model allows supply and demand to be linked, which is reasonable, and the solving algorithm is effective. 展开更多

In order to reduce the computation of complex problems, a new surrogate-assisted estimation of distribution algorithm with Gaussian process was proposed. Coevolution was used in dual populations which evolved in parallel. The search space was projected into multiple subspaces and searched by sub-populations. Also, the whole space was exploited by the other population which exchanges information with the sub-populations. In order to make the evolutionary course efficient, multivariate Gaussian model and Gaussian mixture model were used in both populations separately to estimate the distribution of individuals and reproduce new generations. For the surrogate model, Gaussian process was combined with the algorithm which predicted variance of the predictions. The results on six benchmark functions show that the new algorithm performs better than other surrogate-model based algorithms and the computation complexity is only 10% of the original estimation of distribution algorithm. 展开更多

This paper proposes a new hybrid model of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). The hybrid model includes physical component and black-box com-ponent. The physical component represents the well-known part of PEMFC, while artificial neural network (ANN) component estimates the poorly known part of PEMFC. The ANN model can compensate the performance of the physical model. This hybrid model is implemented on Matlab/Simulink software. The hybrid model shows better accuracy than that of the physical model and ANN model. Simulation results suggest that the hybrid model can be used as a suitable and accurate model for PEMFC. 展开更多

Based on the gas-liquid two-phase mixture transportation test, the k-c-A; turbulence model was applied to simulate the two-phase turbulent flow in a vortex pump. By comparing the simulation and experiment results, inner flow features were revealed. The bubbles in the channel distribute mainly at the pressure side of the blades, and the aggregation degree of the bubbles is enhanced with an increase in inlet gas volume fraction. Experimental results indicate that the influence of the gas phase on vortex pump performance is small when the gas volume fraction is less than 10%. When the gas volume fraction contiuuously increases to 15%, the characteristic curves abruptly drop due to the gas blocking phenomenon. 展开更多

In real traffic,any vehicle must give lane-changing signal(i.e.the turn signal) before changing lanes;at this time,the vehicles behind the lane-changing vehicle will be hindered and may form "plugs" due to the turn signal effect.However,few studies focus on exploring the effect.In this paper,the turn signal effect was taken into account by proposing a new symmetric two-lane cellular automaton(T-STCA) model,and the new model was set to compare with the STCA,H-STCA and A-STCA models.Numerical results show that using the T-STCA model to describe lane-changing or overtaking,the process appeared in several consecutive time steps;while using the other three models,the process appeared only in one time step.In addition,the T-STCA model could describe the mixed traffic flow more realistically and the turn signal effect could help the plugs to dissolve more quickly. 展开更多

This paper presents an important investigation into car travel time affected by mixed traffic flow near a bus stop on the basis of survival analysis theory.Travel time data associated with mixed traffic characteristics near a bus stop were collected by video cameras.A hazard-based duration model was introduced to analyze the effects of mixed traffic flow on car travel time.The results indicate that mixed traffic flow impacts car travel time significantly.And the presence of bus berthing violation would delay car travel time.The proposed model can be used to forecast temporal shifts in car travel time due to changes in mixed traffic flow.The influential factors related to mixed traffic flow should be given full consideration in the planning and designing of bus stops in developing countries. 展开更多
