It adopts a bootstrap- ping model with a novel iteration strategy, which generates more precise examples of specific relation. Compared with previous methods, the proposed method has three main advantages: first, it needs less manual intervention; second, more abundant and reasonable information are introduced to represent a relation pattern; third, it reduces the risk of circular dependency occurrence in bootstrapping. Scalable evaluation methodology and metrics are developed for our task with comparable techniques over TianWang 100G corpus. The experimental results show that it can get 90% precision and have excellent expansibility.展开更多

This paper aims to study the impact of information and communication technologies (ICTs) on remoteness and exclusion. It utilises two models - the resource movement framework, and the "information chain" - to analyse a telecentre in one district of mountainous Huancavelica,Peru's poorest region, set in the high Andes. It finds ICTs enabling new and positive resource flows for the two key user groups:teenaged school students and young farmers. These help to maintain social networks. They also support information searches that have improved agricultural practice where other information chain resources have been available. But non-use and ineffective use of the telecentre are found where information chain resources are lacking. ICTs have some impacts on intangible elements of remoteness. In this particular example, they also offer access to some previously-excluded resources. But they have not really addressed the systematic exclusions faced by mountain communities. And they so far appear to be a technology of inequality; favouring those residents who begin with better resource endowments. The paper concludes by offering some recommendations for mountain ICT project practice.展开更多

Thus, the intelligence services in the future created an electronic database in which to their being classified intelligence products, users could choose between the latter themselves relevant information. The EU (European Union) that activities are carried out from at least in year 1996, terrorist attacks in year 200l is only accelerating. Proposals to increase surveillance and international cooperation in this field have been drawn up before September 11 2011. On the Web you can fmd a list of networks (Cryptome, 2011), which could be connected, or are under the control of the security service--NSA (National Security Agency). United States of America in year 1994 enacted a law for telephone communication--Digital Telephony Act, which would require manufacturers of telecommunications equipment, leaving some security holes for control. In addition, we monitor the Internet and large corporations. The example of the United States of America in this action reveals the organization for electronic freedoms against a telecom company that the NSA illegally gains access to data on information technology users and Internet telephony.展开更多

Increasing quantities of information produce qualitatively more valuable services. Online writing and searching are now common, and it is only online reading that is still limiting our use of online books. New interfaces might increase our willingness to read online, which should be encouraged rather than fought, since it represents an increase both the amount of information available and the participation of more people in the writing and exchange of information.展开更多

For small and medium size enterprises, the paper evaluates the credit of developed model in studying the efficient factors in internet technology acceptance, which is one of the most applicable communication tools in e-commerce. The added factors, taken from models and means of e-readiness assessment, are "existing information technology infrastructures" as well as "organization's training". The authors study 45 small and medium size enterprises in the city of Tehran, which are active in information technology products and services. Using Lisrel structural equation modelling, it is shown that there is a meaningful relationship between the added factors and the variables indicating internet network usage. Therefore, the better factors of e-readiness assessment lead to the higher acceptance level of electronic communication tools in e-commerce.展开更多

However, the effect of loT on economic growth has not been fully explored. This paper analyzes this issue from the perspective of ICT investment. After analyzing the data of eight representative provinces from 1996 to 2008, we f'md out that the effect of ICT investment on e- conomic growth is limited and the levels of telecom- munications infrastructure and education are key factors influencing the effect. Thus it's necessary to further improve the telecommunications infrastructure and enhance related education and training to promote the effect of loT on economic growth.展开更多

The level of access to the new means of cybermobility is becoming a formative factor for socio-spatial gradients and demographic patterns in urban and suburban settings. While the new hyper drive towards the ubiquitous virtual mobility is becoming the dominant mode of our being, it is exposing disparate consequences to cultural experiences, economic conditions, and socio-spatial networks of communities The paper is devoted to elaborate the transformational role of cybernomadic experiences on social interaction for a resilient design of urban communities. The ultimate goal is to identify the applicability of new technological opportunities to empowering the urban poor and finding out the challenges facing urban design territories. The paper also reflects on Jane Jacobs' urban vision for the future and its specific lens展开更多

For instance, people can use their electronic devices at hand (e.g., Google glasses or Apple watch) to access information they need. However, this '~ubiquitous" service poses challenges to human autonomy. Based on the analysis of the features of pervasive computing, this paper points out the ambiguity between the subject and object of ubiquitous computing and shows technological interventions can affect human autonomy at three levels: technology addiction, the degradation of human capacities, and the reversal of the end and the means caused by the fuzziness of ma^-machine interface. In other words, ubiquitous computing gives people unprecedented convenience, and it also deprives of their freedom. According to Kant's Theory of Freedom, this article reflects on the relationship between the autonomy of technology and that of humankind.展开更多

From hospitals to classrooms, technology seems to have taken over people's lives. Where there have been studies to see the impact of technology in varying aspects of life, there seem to be little or no studies on the actual rate of increase in usage of e-technologies among university students and why they have become so popular. This paper uses a survey tool that captures responses from 900 students to study the rate of increase in student use of various e-technologies in and out of classrooms along with some viable reasons why students are acquiring and using such technologies and suggests ways to use this study to better understand student behavior in terms of e-cheating, and how to enhance teaching and learning environments for students.展开更多

E-commerce is as an important part of inlbrnaation technology in recent years when China has been booming. For a large number of SMEs, human resources, capital, technology and information are in a relatively weak position, in addition, in recent years, changes in the external environment in which small and medium enterprises are also reflected in: international trade friction increase, RMB such as the increasing appreciation of the exchange rate increase, it raises the cost of export products. Under the new situation, how to find space for development, how to implement e-commerce strategy, clutches the huge growth opportunities given the times, to keep pace with the times, in an invincible position in the competitive market environment, many small and medium enterprises become China' s urgent problems.展开更多
