Due to historical condition reason, the pace of art design development in China is late. Since the reform and opening up, the art design obtains a long-term development in China. In order to adapt to the trend of world economy integration, all aspects of art design fields in China are learning from the foreign countries, however, it is hard to have a breakthrough creation in itself, and it lacks of domestic art design ＂localization＂ , which can not fully reflect the national culture and national elements. At the same time, the self-innovation power is weak, and the creation ability is insufficient, which also restricts the independent development of art design field to a higher level in China. The art design, as a comprehensive subject, is affected by many factors of society, science and technology and market for its own improvement. This paper mainly discusses from national culture level for art design, thinking that if the art design in China wants to develop higher, it needs to be based on the national culture and profound cultural base, constructing the art design products with Chinese national styles.展开更多

Design is a culture-based, which means to absorb nutrients from the culture. Whether in ancient or modem, East or West, design is always to have a certain culture. Design and culture interrelate with, influence and promote each other. We humans live in a designed cultural environment and atmosphere which is constantly being designed. The design has become a way for human survival and development. Works of our designers are no longer just a product, a brand, a package, a poster or a building, but design of a new lifestyle, a new culture, which are a reflection, expansion and continuation of the culture. The new knowledge network includes not only advanced science and technology, but also includes the historical and cultural value, emotion and sense of innovation. Graphic design is a spiritual and material reality and artistic, aesthetic and practical disciplines integrated with each other. Always take the old approach to their creative confined in a narrow space, and this will inevitably lead to failure. Graphic design must rely on the sense of innovation, combined with the image of abstract thinking; ideas can really create unique designs. Therefore, to enhance training in graphic design innovative design capabilities, innovation and the development of graphic design is an important issue. In this paper, graphic design requirements and the role of innovation capacity will be explared, and the method of application of proposed innovative thinking in graphic design process will be provided.展开更多
