Airplanes are a social necessity for movement of humans,goods,and other.They are generally safe modes of transportation;however,incidents and accidents occasionally occur.To prevent aviation accidents,it is necessary ...Airplanes are a social necessity for movement of humans,goods,and other.They are generally safe modes of transportation;however,incidents and accidents occasionally occur.To prevent aviation accidents,it is necessary to develop a machine-learning model to detect and predict commercial flights using automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast data.This study combined data-quality detection,anomaly detection,and abnormality-classification-model development.The research methodology involved the following stages:problem statement,data selection and labeling,prediction-model development,deployment,and testing.The data labeling process was based on the rules framed by the international civil aviation organization for commercial,jet-engine flights and validated by expert commercial pilots.The results showed that the best prediction model,the quadratic-discriminant-analysis,was 93%accurate,indicating a“good fit”.Moreover,the model’s area-under-the-curve results for abnormal and normal detection were 0.97 and 0.96,respectively,thus confirming its“good fit”.展开更多
Regarding the lane keeping system,path tracking accuracy and lateral stability at high speeds need to be taken into account especially for commercial vehicles due to the characteristics of larger mass,longer wheelbase...Regarding the lane keeping system,path tracking accuracy and lateral stability at high speeds need to be taken into account especially for commercial vehicles due to the characteristics of larger mass,longer wheelbase and higher mass center.To improve the performance mentioned above comprehensively,the control strategy based on improved artificial potential field(APF)algorithm is proposed.In the paper,time to lane crossing(TLC)is introduced into the potential field function to enhance the accuracy of path tracking,meanwhile the vehicle dynamics parameters including yaw rate and lateral acceleration are chosen as the repulsive force field source.The lane keeping controller based on improved APF algorithm is designed and the stability of the control system is proved based on Lyapunov theory.In addition,adaptive inertial weight particle swarm optimization algorithm(AIWPSO)is applied to optimize the gain of each potential field function.The co-simulation results indicate that the comprehensive evaluation index respecting lane tracking accuracy and lateral stability is reduced remarkably.Finally,the proposed control strategy is verified by the HiL test.It provides a beneficial reference for dynamics control of commercial vehicles and enriches the theoretical development and practical application of artificial potential field method in the field of intelligent driving.展开更多

The building sector plays a crucial role in the worldwide shift toward achieving net-zero emissions.Building energy efficiency standards(BEESs)are highly effective policies for reducing carbon emissions.Therefore,expl...The building sector plays a crucial role in the worldwide shift toward achieving net-zero emissions.Building energy efficiency standards(BEESs)are highly effective policies for reducing carbon emissions.Therefore,exploring the provincial variations in carbon emission efficiency(CEE)in the building sector and identifying the effect of BEESs on CEE is crucial.This study focuses on commercial buildings in China and applies a difference in differences model to evaluate the impact of BEESs on the CEE of commercial buildings.The slacks-based measure–data envelopment analysis model is employed to assess the CEE of commercial buildings in 30 Chinese provinces from 2000 to 2019.Furthermore,heterogeneous tests are used to explore how climate characteristics and economic conditions affect the efficiency of BEESs.The results indicate that BEESs positively influence the CEE of commercial buildings.Specifically,a 1%increase in the intensity of BEESs causes a 0.1484%increase in the CEE of commercial buildings.Moreover,the impact of BEESs is particularly pronounced in the southern and western provinces.This study provides valuable scientific evidence for governments to enhance BEESs implementation.展开更多

Traditional fire extinguishing systems, while effective, may have limitations in terms of response time, coverage, and human intervention [1]. This study investigates the efficacy of a novel fire suppression technology—the Exploding Fire Extinguishing Ball (EFEB) —as an alternative and complementary fire safety solution for commercial vehicles. The research employs a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing engineering, materials science, fire safety, and human factors analysis. A systematic literature review establishes a comprehensive understanding of existing fire suppression technologies, including EFEBs. Subsequently, this study analyzes the unique features of EFEBs, such as automatic activation, as well as manual activation upon exposure to fire, and their potential to provide rapid, localized, and autonomous fire suppression. The study presents original experimental investigations to assess the performance and effectiveness of EFEBs in various fire scenarios representative of commercial vehicles. Experiments include controlled fires in confined spaces and dynamic simulations to emulate real-world fire incidents. Data on activation times, extinguishing capability, and coverage area are collected and analyzed to compare the efficacy of EFEBs with traditional fire extinguishing methods. Furthermore, this research shows the practical aspects of implementing EFEBs in commercial vehicles. This research investigates the intricate relationship between the number of lanes on highways and injury severities sustained by commercial motor vehicle(CMV)drivers.Many studies have addressed crash determinants,but ...This research investigates the intricate relationship between the number of lanes on highways and injury severities sustained by commercial motor vehicle(CMV)drivers.Many studies have addressed crash determinants,but the safety implications of differing numbers of lanes remain insufficiently examined,especially during the highway planning stages.Our study fills this knowledge gap by analyzing injury severity crash factors for a varied number of lane scenarios.Employing a random parameter logit modeling framework,we differentiated injury levels for 2-4 lanes and 6-10 lanes.Key factors were identified for each number of lanes,with older,loss of vehicle control,non-collision crashes,and crashes,on locations where grade or hill existed,being more perilous and increasing the risk of sustaining severe injuries on 2-lane highways.For 4-lane highways,factors such as non-Oregonian drivers,older drivers,crashes that occurred during the spring season,and crashes that occurred beyond shoulders were associated with an elevated probability of being involved in severe injury crashes.Regarding highways with 6 lanes and higher,driving too fast for conditions and driver error(drowsy,fatigued,inattentive,or reckless)increases the odds of being involved in higher levels of injury crashes.To enhance truck driver safety,we recommend the implementation of electronic stability control in CMVs,with moderated speeds on graded sections,improved curve markers,and robust public safety campaigns.展开更多

Heavy commercial vehicles(HCVs)are pivotal to India’s economy,but are also significant sources of air pollution.To address this issue,the Indian government implemented Bharat stage VI(BS-VI)emission standards in 2020...Heavy commercial vehicles(HCVs)are pivotal to India’s economy,but are also significant sources of air pollution.To address this issue,the Indian government implemented Bharat stage VI(BS-VI)emission standards in 2020.Research gap regarding realistic inputs for annual vehicle kilometres and survival rate of HCVs has been identified.The HCV sector is categorized into long-haul vehicles(32 t and above,with higher annual vehicle usage and survival rates)and pick-up and delivery HCV trucks(16-32 t,with relatively lower annual vehicle usage and survival rates).Based on the primary research by taking into account the inputs from various stakeholders regarding annual vehicle kilometres and survival rates subject to vehicle type and emission standards,an HCV emission inventory for India has been developed for regulated pollutants(NOx,PM_(2.5),and CO)till 2035.We assume no additional external technological or policy interventions,except the anticipated shift to Bharat stage VII(BS-VII)standards by 2027.Key findings reveal that the on-road HCV population is projected to marginally increase(6.5%)by 2035 compared to 2020.However,there is a notable 97%surge in goods transport tonnage by 2035,indicating more efficient commercial vehicle usage,especially in the heavier category(32 t and above).Crucially,annual emissions of NOx,PM_(2.5),and CO from the HCV segment are expected to peak in 2020,and decline significantly by 2035.Emissions are projected to decrease by 91.5%(NOx),96.6%(PM_(2.5)),and 97.6%(CO)compared to 2020 levels due to the introduction of BS-VI standards in 2020 and the anticipated adoption of BS-VII standards in 2027.This study is instrumental in defining base emission inventory till 2035 for any further policy evaluation for the HCV segment for reducing air pollution and enhancing environmental sustainability.展开更多

Today, TV, radio and Intemet are considered to have great importance among the most widely used means of mass media. Initial advertisement for each product plays a significant role in getting a bigger market share for that product. Thus, manufacturing companies need brands, taglines, catchphrases and jingles for their commercials broadcasted on mass media. Astonishing words or expressions which catch the consumers' attention play a highly significant role in commercials. Slogans which are created sometimes using melodious or rhythmical expressions, and imperatives, or sometimes slang and daily language support convincing power of the commercials. The mentioned slogans are indeed examples of creativeness. This study primarily includes the commercials, ways to produce slogans and their characteristics, together with identifying the slogans in the commercials broadcasted in Turkey and Russia, created by using language games, which include brand names. Then, aforementioned slogans will be reviewed with regards to artistic stylistics, a sub branch of functional stylistics. A novel type nano TiN/Ti composite grain refiner (TiN/Ti refiner) was prepared by high energy ball milling, and its effect on as-cast and hot-working microstructure of commercial purity aluminum (pure Al) was inve...A novel type nano TiN/Ti composite grain refiner (TiN/Ti refiner) was prepared by high energy ball milling, and its effect on as-cast and hot-working microstructure of commercial purity aluminum (pure Al) was investigated. The results show that TiN/Ti refiner exhibits excellent grain refining performances on pure Al. With an addition of 0.2% TiN/Ti refiner, the average grain size of pure Al decreases to 82 μm, which is smaller than that of pure Ti and Al 5Ti 1B master alloy as refiners. The microstructure of weld joint of pure Al with 0.1% TiN/Ti refiner is fine equiaxed grains and the hardness of weld joint is higher than that of the base metal. For pure Al with 40% cold deformation and recrystallization at 250 °C for 1.0 h, the grains of the sample added 0.1% Ti powder have an obvious grain growth behavior. In contrast, oriented grains caused by deformation have been eliminated, and there is no obvious grain growth in pure Al refined with 0.1% TiN/Ti refiner, indicating that nano TiN in the refiner inhibits the growth of grain during recrystallization.展开更多

文摘Airplanes are a social necessity for movement of humans,goods,and other.They are generally safe modes of transportation;however,incidents and accidents occasionally occur.To prevent aviation accidents,it is necessary to develop a machine-learning model to detect and predict commercial flights using automatic dependent surveillance–broadcast data.This study combined data-quality detection,anomaly detection,and abnormality-classification-model development.The research methodology involved the following stages:problem statement,data selection and labeling,prediction-model development,deployment,and testing.The data labeling process was based on the rules framed by the international civil aviation organization for commercial,jet-engine flights and validated by expert commercial pilots.The results showed that the best prediction model,the quadratic-discriminant-analysis,was 93%accurate,indicating a“good fit”.Moreover,the model’s area-under-the-curve results for abnormal and normal detection were 0.97 and 0.96,respectively,thus confirming its“good fit”.

文摘Regarding the lane keeping system,path tracking accuracy and lateral stability at high speeds need to be taken into account especially for commercial vehicles due to the characteristics of larger mass,longer wheelbase and higher mass center.To improve the performance mentioned above comprehensively,the control strategy based on improved artificial potential field(APF)algorithm is proposed.In the paper,time to lane crossing(TLC)is introduced into the potential field function to enhance the accuracy of path tracking,meanwhile the vehicle dynamics parameters including yaw rate and lateral acceleration are chosen as the repulsive force field source.The lane keeping controller based on improved APF algorithm is designed and the stability of the control system is proved based on Lyapunov theory.In addition,adaptive inertial weight particle swarm optimization algorithm(AIWPSO)is applied to optimize the gain of each potential field function.The co-simulation results indicate that the comprehensive evaluation index respecting lane tracking accuracy and lateral stability is reduced remarkably.Finally,the proposed control strategy is verified by the HiL test.It provides a beneficial reference for dynamics control of commercial vehicles and enriches the theoretical development and practical application of artificial potential field method in the field of intelligent driving.

文摘The building sector plays a crucial role in the worldwide shift toward achieving net-zero emissions.Building energy efficiency standards(BEESs)are highly effective policies for reducing carbon emissions.Therefore,exploring the provincial variations in carbon emission efficiency(CEE)in the building sector and identifying the effect of BEESs on CEE is crucial.This study focuses on commercial buildings in China and applies a difference in differences model to evaluate the impact of BEESs on the CEE of commercial buildings.The slacks-based measure–data envelopment analysis model is employed to assess the CEE of commercial buildings in 30 Chinese provinces from 2000 to 2019.Furthermore,heterogeneous tests are used to explore how climate characteristics and economic conditions affect the efficiency of BEESs.The results indicate that BEESs positively influence the CEE of commercial buildings.Specifically,a 1%increase in the intensity of BEESs causes a 0.1484%increase in the CEE of commercial buildings.Moreover,the impact of BEESs is particularly pronounced in the southern and western provinces.This study provides valuable scientific evidence for governments to enhance BEESs implementation.
文摘Fire incidents in commercial vehicles pose significant risks to passengers, drivers, and cargo. Traditional fire extinguishing systems, while effective, may have limitations in terms of response time, coverage, and human intervention [1]. This study investigates the efficacy of a novel fire suppression technology—the Exploding Fire Extinguishing Ball (EFEB) —as an alternative and complementary fire safety solution for commercial vehicles. The research employs a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing engineering, materials science, fire safety, and human factors analysis. A systematic literature review establishes a comprehensive understanding of existing fire suppression technologies, including EFEBs. Subsequently, this study analyzes the unique features of EFEBs, such as automatic activation, as well as manual activation upon exposure to fire, and their potential to provide rapid, localized, and autonomous fire suppression. The study presents original experimental investigations to assess the performance and effectiveness of EFEBs in various fire scenarios representative of commercial vehicles. Experiments include controlled fires in confined spaces and dynamic simulations to emulate real-world fire incidents. Data on activation times, extinguishing capability, and coverage area are collected and analyzed to compare the efficacy of EFEBs with traditional fire extinguishing methods. Furthermore, this research shows the practical aspects of implementing EFEBs in commercial vehicles. A feasibility study examines the integration challenges, cost-benefit analysis, and potential regulatory implications. The study also addresses the impact of EFEBs on vehicle weight, stability, and overall safety. Human factors and user acceptance are crucial elements in adopting new safety technologies. Therefore, this research utilizes an experimental design to assess the performance and effectiveness of EFEBs in various fire scenarios representative of commercial vehicles. This dissertation presents original controlled experiments to emulate real-world fire incidents, including controlled fires in confined spaces and dynamic simulations. The experimental approach ensures rigorous evaluation and objective insights into EFEBs’ potential as an autonomous fire suppression system for commercial vehicles. This includes the perspectives of drivers, passengers, fleet operators, insurance agencies, and regulatory bodies. Factors influencing trust, perceived safety, and willingness to adopt EFEBs are analyzed to provide insights into the successful integration of this technology. The findings of this research will contribute to the knowledge of fire safety technology and expand the understanding of the applicability of EFEBs in commercial vehicles.
文摘This research examines the characteristics of multimodal metaphors utilized by German advertisers in their commercial designs.Commercial advertisements inherently incorporate a diverse array of communicative symbols,encompassing textual,visual,and auditory elements,which collaboratively function to construct metaphoric representations.Consequently,these advertisements are characterized by a rich presence of multimodal metaphors,strategically crafted to leave a lasting impression on viewers and to stimulate the purchasing intentions of targeted demographics.Employing a cognitive linguistics framework,this paper conducts a comparative analysis of the multimodal metaphors present in three exemplary German commercials:K-fee,Coca-Cola Zero,and Pure Milk.The findings illuminate the effective deployment of multimodal strategies in enhancing message transmission and fostering consumer engagement within the advertising landscape.
文摘In a highly competitive market,excellent advertising translation can better promote brands.By adopting the three principles of Skopos Theory,this paper discusses the E-C translation strategies of commercial advertisements based on specific advertising translation cases,and proposes translation methods of literal translation,free translation,paraphrase,and augmentation,as well as rhetorical methods of homophonic puns,aiming to improve the quality of commercial advertisement translations,enhance the publicity effect,and achieve brand marketing.
文摘Perfume commercial,as a form of cultural text and practice,is relatively special in contemporary commercial advertising:The commodity qualities of perfume dictate that perfume advertisements must cater to the sexual fantasies of the audience,and therefore inevitably characterize the mainstream,dominant gender norms.At the same time,perfume commercial,as a unique marketing communication method,also unconsciously influences people’s values through sensory stimulation and emotional rendering.This article explores the connection between perfume and its commercials,sex,and gender,and discusses the generation of meaning in perfume commercials as texts and deconstructs the gender myth implied from the perspectives of representation and myth analysis,ultimately revealing that behind the gender myth of perfume commercials is but a false manifestation of the ideal self-image of the western white bourgeois heterosexuality.
文摘This research investigates the intricate relationship between the number of lanes on highways and injury severities sustained by commercial motor vehicle(CMV)drivers.Many studies have addressed crash determinants,but the safety implications of differing numbers of lanes remain insufficiently examined,especially during the highway planning stages.Our study fills this knowledge gap by analyzing injury severity crash factors for a varied number of lane scenarios.Employing a random parameter logit modeling framework,we differentiated injury levels for 2-4 lanes and 6-10 lanes.Key factors were identified for each number of lanes,with older,loss of vehicle control,non-collision crashes,and crashes,on locations where grade or hill existed,being more perilous and increasing the risk of sustaining severe injuries on 2-lane highways.For 4-lane highways,factors such as non-Oregonian drivers,older drivers,crashes that occurred during the spring season,and crashes that occurred beyond shoulders were associated with an elevated probability of being involved in severe injury crashes.Regarding highways with 6 lanes and higher,driving too fast for conditions and driver error(drowsy,fatigued,inattentive,or reckless)increases the odds of being involved in higher levels of injury crashes.To enhance truck driver safety,we recommend the implementation of electronic stability control in CMVs,with moderated speeds on graded sections,improved curve markers,and robust public safety campaigns.

文摘Nowadays,with the development of the digital economy,commercial banks are actively conducting digital transformation.Studying the impact of the digital transformation of commercial banks on their operating performance can help commercial banks form a stronger core competitiveness and promote high-quality financial development.Based on the above background,this article first describes the status and development of digital transformation and development of commercial banks,and secondly analyzes whether Chinese commercial banks’digital transformation is conducive to improving their operating performance.Thirdly,by selecting the data of the listed commercial banks in the ten years of 2012–2022,this article obtains the empirical testing of the digital transformation on different property rights.Finally,the higher the level of digitalization,the higher the digital level,the more significantly promotes the performance of commercial banks.Finally,based on the above analysis,this article puts forward feasibility opinions on commercial banks and related regulators.
文摘Heavy commercial vehicles(HCVs)are pivotal to India’s economy,but are also significant sources of air pollution.To address this issue,the Indian government implemented Bharat stage VI(BS-VI)emission standards in 2020.Research gap regarding realistic inputs for annual vehicle kilometres and survival rate of HCVs has been identified.The HCV sector is categorized into long-haul vehicles(32 t and above,with higher annual vehicle usage and survival rates)and pick-up and delivery HCV trucks(16-32 t,with relatively lower annual vehicle usage and survival rates).Based on the primary research by taking into account the inputs from various stakeholders regarding annual vehicle kilometres and survival rates subject to vehicle type and emission standards,an HCV emission inventory for India has been developed for regulated pollutants(NOx,PM_(2.5),and CO)till 2035.We assume no additional external technological or policy interventions,except the anticipated shift to Bharat stage VII(BS-VII)standards by 2027.Key findings reveal that the on-road HCV population is projected to marginally increase(6.5%)by 2035 compared to 2020.However,there is a notable 97%surge in goods transport tonnage by 2035,indicating more efficient commercial vehicle usage,especially in the heavier category(32 t and above).Crucially,annual emissions of NOx,PM_(2.5),and CO from the HCV segment are expected to peak in 2020,and decline significantly by 2035.Emissions are projected to decrease by 91.5%(NOx),96.6%(PM_(2.5)),and 97.6%(CO)compared to 2020 levels due to the introduction of BS-VI standards in 2020 and the anticipated adoption of BS-VII standards in 2027.This study is instrumental in defining base emission inventory till 2035 for any further policy evaluation for the HCV segment for reducing air pollution and enhancing environmental sustainability.
文摘The development of the digital economy has presented both opportunities and challenges for the transformation of commercial banks.This article aims to conduct a literature review on the impact of digital transformation on commercial banks and to explore the multi-dimensional effects it brings.Through a review and analysis of relevant domestic and international literature,this paper first defines the connotation of digital transformation in commercial banks.It then conducts a literature analysis and research on the strategic governance,business performance,and risk management aspects of the digital transformation of commercial banks from multiple perspectives.Based on the analysis of the existing literature,the paper explores directions for future in-depth research and offers corresponding policy suggestions,providing a theoretical and practical foundation for the future digital development of commercial banks.

文摘In China, the vast majority of the bibliographic databases is commercial, such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang Database, Longyuan Journal Net, CQVIP Company, however, there are also non-profit open access (OA) databases, such as journal database jointly established by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and National Social Science Fund. The commercial bibliographic databases have to face many difficulties: intellectual property disputes, the benefit distribution between the hardcopy periodical and the commercial bibliographic database, the lack of quality assessment about the commercial bibliographic databases, the need of improving digital technology as well as the lack of a unified database regulation, which restricts the development of commercial bibliographic databases. This paper puts forward the countermeasures from the perspective of how to enhance the governmental management; how to protect the intellectual property fight; how to improve the technical standard of the commercial bibliographic databases; how to build interest distribution between the hardcopy periodical and the commercial bibliographic database; how to improve the quality of commercial bibliographic databases; and how to improve the industrial chain of the commercial bibliographic databases.
文摘Advertisement and presentation of a product is the most important stage in the process of marketing. Product advertisement mostly benefits from the audiovisual commercials and advertisements on mass media (television, radio, newspaper, magazine, poster, brochure, Internet etc.). Today, TV, radio and Intemet are considered to have great importance among the most widely used means of mass media. Initial advertisement for each product plays a significant role in getting a bigger market share for that product. Thus, manufacturing companies need brands, taglines, catchphrases and jingles for their commercials broadcasted on mass media. Astonishing words or expressions which catch the consumers' attention play a highly significant role in commercials. Slogans which are created sometimes using melodious or rhythmical expressions, and imperatives, or sometimes slang and daily language support convincing power of the commercials. The mentioned slogans are indeed examples of creativeness. This study primarily includes the commercials, ways to produce slogans and their characteristics, together with identifying the slogans in the commercials broadcasted in Turkey and Russia, created by using language games, which include brand names. Then, aforementioned slogans will be reviewed with regards to artistic stylistics, a sub branch of functional stylistics. Finally, similar and different aspects of the language games in Turkish and Russian commercials will be compared based on the findings obtained from the analyses.
文摘A novel type nano TiN/Ti composite grain refiner (TiN/Ti refiner) was prepared by high energy ball milling, and its effect on as-cast and hot-working microstructure of commercial purity aluminum (pure Al) was investigated. The results show that TiN/Ti refiner exhibits excellent grain refining performances on pure Al. With an addition of 0.2% TiN/Ti refiner, the average grain size of pure Al decreases to 82 μm, which is smaller than that of pure Ti and Al 5Ti 1B master alloy as refiners. The microstructure of weld joint of pure Al with 0.1% TiN/Ti refiner is fine equiaxed grains and the hardness of weld joint is higher than that of the base metal. For pure Al with 40% cold deformation and recrystallization at 250 °C for 1.0 h, the grains of the sample added 0.1% Ti powder have an obvious grain growth behavior. In contrast, oriented grains caused by deformation have been eliminated, and there is no obvious grain growth in pure Al refined with 0.1% TiN/Ti refiner, indicating that nano TiN in the refiner inhibits the growth of grain during recrystallization.
