Based on...Many researchers have developed new calculation methods to analyze seismic slope stability problems, but the conventional pseudo-static method is still widely used in engineering design due to its simplicity. Based on the Technical Code for Building Slope Engineering(GB 50330-2013) of China and the Guidelines for Evaluating and Mitigating Seismic Hazards in California(SP117), a comparative study on the pseudo-static method was performed. The results indicate that the largest difference between these two design codes lies in determination of the seismic equivalence reduction factor( f;). The GB 50330-2013 code specifies a single value for f;of 0.25. In SP117, numerous factors,such as magnitude and distance, are considered in determining f;. Two case studies show that the types of slope stability status evaluated by SP117 are in agreement with those evaluated by the seismic time-history stability analysis and Newmark displacement analysis. The factors of safety evaluated by SP117 can be used in practice for safe design. However, the factors of safety evaluated by GB 50330-2013 are risky for slope seismic design.展开更多

Pseudo-Gray codi...A method of assigning binary indexes to codevectors in vector quantization (VQ)system, which is called pseudo-Gray coding, is presented in this paper by constructing a kind of Hopfield neural network. Pseudo-Gray coding belongs to joint source/channel coding, which could provide a redundancy-free error protection scheme for VQ of analog signals when the binary indexes of signal codevectors are used as channel symbols on a discrete memoryless channel. Since pseudo-Gray coding is of combinatorial optimization problems which are NP-complete problems,globally optimal solutions are generally impossible. Thus, a kind of Hopfield neural network is used by constructing suitable energy function to get sub-optimal solutions. This kind of Hop field neural network is easily modified to solve simplified version of pseudo-Gray coding for single bit-error channel model. Simulating experimental results show that the method introduced here could offer good performances.展开更多

The UWB signal is a stream of very low power density and ultra-short pulses, and the great potential of DS-UWB depends critically on the success of timing acquisition. A rapid acquisition algorithm for reducing the acquisition time of the coarse pseudo-noise (PN) sequences is proposed. The algorithm utilizes the auxiliary sequence and bisearch strategy based on the threshold comparison criterion. Both theoretical analysis and simulation tests show that with the proposed search strategy and simple operations over the symbol duration at the receiver, the proposed algorithm can considerably reduce the acquisition time even as it maintains the PN sequence acquisition probability in the DS-UWB system over the dense multipath environment.展开更多
GNSS信号的空间信号(SIS)质量直接影响用户的定位、测试和授时(Positioning,Velocity and Timing,PVT)服务精度,但由于授权信号保密等原因,授权信号的伪码序列未知,卫星导航系统授权信号质量评估存在一定的困难性。该文主要分析GPS BII...GNSS信号的空间信号(SIS)质量直接影响用户的定位、测试和授时(Positioning,Velocity and Timing,PVT)服务精度,但由于授权信号保密等原因,授权信号的伪码序列未知,卫星导航系统授权信号质量评估存在一定的困难性。该文主要分析GPS BIIF-5卫星L1频点的相干自适应副载波调制(CASM)信号,利用匹配滤波理论恢复出采集数据中的P(Y)码和M码两个授权信号分量的伪码符号,采用极大似然估计结合信号分布特点准确求解出各信号分量之间的功率分配。重点分析P(Y)码和M码信号相关性能,包含相关曲线、相关损失和S曲线过零点偏差(S-Curve bias),定量地评估了授权信号的空间信号质量。提出完整的基于GPS L1频点授权信号质量评估方法,研究成果可作为其他卫星导航系统授权信号质量评估的参考。展开更多
