The basic...Free-interface dual-compatibility modal synthesis method(compatibility of both force and displacement on interfaces)is introduced to large-scale civil engineering structure to enhance computation efficiency. The basic equations of the method are first set up, and then the mode cut-off principle and the dividing principle are proposed. MATLAB is used for simulation in different frame structures. The simulation results demonstrate the applicability of this substructure method to civil engineering structures and the correctness of the proposed mode cut-off principle. Studies are also conducted on how to divide the whole structure for better computation efficiency while maintaining better precision. It is observed that the geometry and material properties should be considered, and the synthesis results would be more precise when the inflection points of the mode shapes are taken into consideration. Furthermore, the simulation performed on a large-scale high-rise connected structure further proves the feasibility and efficiency of this modal synthesis method compared with the traditional global method. It is also concluded from the simulation results that the fewer number of DOFs in each substructure will result in better computation efficiency, but too many substructures will be time-consuming due to the tedious synthesis procedures. Moreover, the substructures with free interface will introduce errors and reduce the precision dramatically, which should be avoided.展开更多

文摘Neutrosophic theory can effectively and reasonably express indeterminate,inconsistent,and incomplete information.Since Smarandache proposed the neutrosophic theory in 1998,neutrosophic theory and related research have been developed and applied to many important fields.Indeterminacy and fuzziness are one of the main research issues in the field of civil engineering.Therefore,the neutrosophic theory is very suitable for modeling and applications of civil engineering fields.This review paper mainly describes the recent developments and applications of neutrosophic theory in four important research areas of civil engineering:the neutrosophic decision-making theory and applied methods,the neutrosophic evaluation methods and applications of slope stability,the neutrosophic expressions and analyses of rock joint roughness coefficient,and the neutrosophic structural optimization methods and applications.In terms of these research achievements in the four areas of civil engineering,the neutrosophic theory demonstrates its advantages in dealing with the indeterminate and inconsistent issues in civil engineering and the effectiveness and practicability of existing applied methods.In the future work,the existing research results will be further improved and extended in civil engineering problems.In addition,the neutrosophic theory will also have better application prospects in other fields of civil engineering.
文摘Recently, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has emerged as a hot topic in the construction industry. However, the application of civil engineering, both domestic and foreign, is minor because of the distribution in a wide area, highly liner dependence and difficulty to take advantage of the standard library.? Civil engineering requires a lot of time and financial resources compared to architectural engineering. If BIM is completely applied to civil engineering, it will be possible to manage the schedule and cost using 3D and facilitates effective communication between various stakeholders. For the application of BIM in civil engineering, we surveyed the awareness, utilization and effectiveness of BIM on the civil engineering companies. Also, we derived necessary improvements and analyzed new business areas for BIM application. The results of the study will be used as a reference of development for SOC civil engineering BIM ordering guide and related standard.
文摘In recent years, with the rapid development of China's urbanization, the pace of economic and social construction has accelerated. At the same time, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards and demand for living space is also increasing. Therefore, the architectural design of civil buildings is more complex and may be affected by other factors. In order to ensure the stability of the building structure, not only the proportion of the building shape, but also the factors such as land subsidence, temperature, wind and earthquake should be considered. In addition, whether the structural design of civil engineering buildings is scientific directly affects the actual construction of civil engineering buildings, which makes the future maintenance difficult. If some common design problems are not properly solved, the design quality of building structure in civil engineering will be greatly reduced. This paper analyzes the problems encountered in the structural design of civil engineering buildings, and puts forward the optimization measures, in order to improve the structural design of civil engineering buildings.
