A cross-sectional analytical study was carried out among 403 users of the Kisangani central market during the period from 01 July 2023 to 02 September 2023. It was found that 80.40% of respondents had poor waste management practices. There was an association between waste management practices and marital status, the category of respondent, the category of goods sold, knowledge of the definition of waste, the management mechanism in place and the availability of management materials and equipment. In conclusion, the proper management of waste from Kisangani’s central market by its users is proving to be a serious public health problem, and several factors are involved. Insufficient financial resources to make waste bins available at all vendors’ stalls, combined with the ineffectiveness of the hygiene committee, are undermining waste management at Kisangani’s central market, which calls for an effective management policy from the market’s managers and sufficient financial resources to alleviate the problem.展开更多

A cross section research design entailing 209 farmers from five (...This study was designed to determine factors that influence market performance of avocado fruits among smallholder farmers in Mbeya and Songwe regions. A cross section research design entailing 209 farmers from five (5) districts of two (2) regions and 15 key informants;5 local service providers (LSP), 5 traders/brokers and 5 district extension officers (DEO) were involved in the study. Random selection procedures were used to select avocado producers and purposive selection procedures were used to select key informants. The study employed survey questionnaires to collect data from avocado farmers and structured interview to collect data from key informants. Collected data were analyzed with an aid of descriptive statistics and linear regression model was used to determine significant factors that determine market prices of avocado fruits among smallholder farmers. The demographic characteristics of avocado farmers showed that;61.2% of farmers had age between 36 to 59 years old, 84.7% were married, 74.6% had primary education level, average number of 5 members of the family, average 4.3 acres of owned land and 1.8 acres planted with avocado. Moreover, findings showed that 90.9% grew improved avocado varieties. Farm gate (88.5%) was the major market outlet chosen by avocado farmers. Local merchants and processors were the major buyers of the produced avocado. Results from linear regression analysis showed that variety grown (P P P P < 0.05) were factors that statistically influenced market prices for avocado fruits. The study concluded that despite the remarkable contributions to livelihood of the farmers yet, it is highly fragile on market prices. Therefore, the study recommends the need to establish market systems that will govern avocado fruits marketing for sustainability of the sub-sector.展开更多

The main objective of our work is to predict the market performance of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on day closing price using different Deep Learning techniques. In this study, we have used the LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) network to forecast the data of DSE for the convenience of shareholders. We have enforced LSTM networks to train data as well as forecast the future time series that has differentiated with test data. We have computed the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) value to scrutinize the error between the forecasted value and test data that diminished the error by updating the LSTM networks. As a consequence of the renovation of the network, the LSTM network provides tremendous performance which outperformed the existing works to predict stock market prices.展开更多

The emergence of multi-access edge computing(MEC)aims at extending cloud computing capabilities to the edge of the radio access network.As the large-scale internet of things(IoT)services are rapidly growing,a single e...The emergence of multi-access edge computing(MEC)aims at extending cloud computing capabilities to the edge of the radio access network.As the large-scale internet of things(IoT)services are rapidly growing,a single edge infrastructure provider(EIP)may not be sufficient to handle the data traffic generated by these services.Most of the existing work addressed the computing resource shortage problem by optimizing tasks schedule,whereas others overcome such issue by placing computing resources on demand.However,when considering a multiple EIPs scenario,an urgent challenge is how to generate a coalition structure to maximize each EIP’s gain with a suitable price for computing resource block corresponding to a container.To this end,we design a scheme of EIPs collaboration with a market price for containers under a scenario that considers a collection of service providers(SPs)with different budgets and several EIPs distributed in geographical locations.First,we bring in the net profit market price model to generate a more reasonable equilibrium price and select the optimal EIPs for each SP by a convex program.Then we use a mathematical model to maximize EIP’s profits and form stable coalitions between EIPs by a distributed coalition formation algorithm.Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed collaborative scheme among EIPs enhances EIPs’gain and increases users’surplus.展开更多

This study examines the current state of merchants’participation in e-commerce marketing within the context of the digital economy,focusing on merchants in Lagos,Nigeria.It explores the impact of behavioral attitudes...This study examines the current state of merchants’participation in e-commerce marketing within the context of the digital economy,focusing on merchants in Lagos,Nigeria.It explores the impact of behavioral attitudes,subjective norms,perceived behavioral control,and traditional transaction costs on their willingness to engage in e-commerce marketing.Grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB)and employing a questionnaire survey,the study utilizes SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0 for data analysis.The findings confirm the significant positive effects of behavioral attitudes,subjective norms,and perceived behavioral control on merchants’willingness,as well as the significant negative effect of traditional transaction costs.The results indicate that the advancement of digital economy policies has lowered participation barriers for merchants,with factors such as behavioral attitudes,social support,and digital skills playing crucial roles in decision-making.This paper recommends enhancing the usability of e-commerce platforms,improving infrastructure,and optimizing policy support.These suggestions provide theoretical insights and practical guidance for promoting Nigeria’s digital economy and advancing research on merchants’e-commerce behavior.展开更多

This study utilizes the Dynamic Conditional Correlation-Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (DCC-GARCH) model to investigate the dynamic relationship between Chinese and U.S. stock markets amid t...This study utilizes the Dynamic Conditional Correlation-Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (DCC-GARCH) model to investigate the dynamic relationship between Chinese and U.S. stock markets amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, a univariate GARCH model is developed to derive residual sequences, which are then used to estimate the DCC model parameters. The research reveals a significant rise in the interconnection between the Chinese and U.S. stock markets during the pandemic. The S&P 500 index displayed higher sensitivity and greater volatility in response to the pandemic, whereas the CSI 300 index showed superior resilience and stability. Analysis and model estimation suggest that the market’s dependence on historical data has intensified and its sensitivity to recent shocks has heightened. Predictions from the model indicate increased market volatility during the pandemic. While the model is proficient in capturing market trends, there remains potential for enhancing the accuracy of specific volatility predictions. The study proposes recommendations for policymakers and investors, highlighting the importance of improved cooperation in international financial market regulation and investor education.展开更多

文摘The emergence of multi-access edge computing(MEC)aims at extending cloud computing capabilities to the edge of the radio access network.As the large-scale internet of things(IoT)services are rapidly growing,a single edge infrastructure provider(EIP)may not be sufficient to handle the data traffic generated by these services.Most of the existing work addressed the computing resource shortage problem by optimizing tasks schedule,whereas others overcome such issue by placing computing resources on demand.However,when considering a multiple EIPs scenario,an urgent challenge is how to generate a coalition structure to maximize each EIP’s gain with a suitable price for computing resource block corresponding to a container.To this end,we design a scheme of EIPs collaboration with a market price for containers under a scenario that considers a collection of service providers(SPs)with different budgets and several EIPs distributed in geographical locations.First,we bring in the net profit market price model to generate a more reasonable equilibrium price and select the optimal EIPs for each SP by a convex program.Then we use a mathematical model to maximize EIP’s profits and form stable coalitions between EIPs by a distributed coalition formation algorithm.Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed collaborative scheme among EIPs enhances EIPs’gain and increases users’surplus.

文摘This study examines the current state of merchants’participation in e-commerce marketing within the context of the digital economy,focusing on merchants in Lagos,Nigeria.It explores the impact of behavioral attitudes,subjective norms,perceived behavioral control,and traditional transaction costs on their willingness to engage in e-commerce marketing.Grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB)and employing a questionnaire survey,the study utilizes SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0 for data analysis.The findings confirm the significant positive effects of behavioral attitudes,subjective norms,and perceived behavioral control on merchants’willingness,as well as the significant negative effect of traditional transaction costs.The results indicate that the advancement of digital economy policies has lowered participation barriers for merchants,with factors such as behavioral attitudes,social support,and digital skills playing crucial roles in decision-making.This paper recommends enhancing the usability of e-commerce platforms,improving infrastructure,and optimizing policy support.These suggestions provide theoretical insights and practical guidance for promoting Nigeria’s digital economy and advancing research on merchants’e-commerce behavior.
文摘In the contemporary digital landscape,the proliferation of information has led to an increasing diversity of channels through which consumers obtain information,resulting in a gradual transformation of shopping habits.Consumers now frequently rely on external sources to make well-informed purchasing decisions,leading to the emergence of live shopping as a prominent avenue for gathering product information and completing transactions.E-commerce live streaming has experienced rapid growth,leveraging its ability to generate traffic and capture consumer attention.The integration of content and live streaming not only meets users’psychological needs but also facilitates seamless communication between buyers and sellers.From the perspective of content marketing typologies,this paper examines content marketing across three key dimensions:informational content,entertainment content,and emotional content.It further explores the impact of content marketing on consumers’purchase intentions within the context of e-commerce live streaming.
文摘We examine possible funding sources for constructing Climate Change Haven Communities on a global basis. Areas of the planet that have the potential to house persons migrating to “safe havens” in their own or other countries will require the rapid construction of communities capable of supporting them, their families, businesses and farms. However, different political-economic conditions are found across the areas which can serve as locations for these Climate Change Haven Communities. We develop funding and construction strategies for the United States (free-market capitalism), France and Spain (European Union supported economies), and Taiwan region (state-directed economy). The proposals for the Taiwan region should also be applicable to the rest of China.

文摘Because of the contradiction between the scale of new energy installations and the continuous load growth in the central and eastern regions of China,the balance problems of the electricity market are becoming increasingly prominent,and it is urgent to solve such problems through inter-provincial electricity spot markets.First,the development history and construction status of the inter-provincial electricity spot market are summarized;second,the mechanism design of the inter-provincial electricity spot market is sorted out in terms of the market operation framework,transaction declaration,and clearing methods;subsequently,the evaluation index system of the inter-provincial electricity spot market is constructed,including four themes of electricity mutual aid and support,new energy consumption,economic benefits of market-based allocation,and social benefits of market-based allocation;finally,the operation of the inter-provincial electricity spot market is comprehensively analyzed by the algorithm based on the market operation data of 2022,which proves the feasibility and practicality of the proposed index system.
文摘With the development of information technology,sharing marketing,as an innovative marketing method,plays an important role in promoting the marketing willingness and enthusiasm of employees in the Internet decoration industry.Based on the data obtained from the ques-tionnaire survey,this paper makes an empirical analysis of the impact of the economic value,social value,perceived ease of use,perceived convenience,enabling conditions and subjective norms of sharing marketing on the marketing willingness of employees in the Internet decoration industry.The results showed that the questionnaire had good internal consistency and construct validity.Through empirical analysis,it can be found that the economic value,social value,perceived ease of use,perceived convenience,enabling conditions and subjective norms of sharing marketing have a significant positive impact on employees'marketing willingness.

文摘The paper selected Chinese Cruise Line as the case study. Having based on the survey data of Chinese cruise tourism consumers, the factor analysis method, one-way analysis of variances method, cluster analysis method, and other quantitative and qualitative methods were taken to analyze Chinese consumers’ satisfaction differences of cruise tourism service quality with different segmentation markets and clusters markets, and the reasons of satisfaction differences were also explored. Then precision marketing strategy of Chinese cruise tourism with different segmentation markets and clusters markets from the supply-side reform perspective was discussed. The purpose of current research was to provide suggestions of precision management and precision marketing of Chinese cruise tourism for relevant enterprises and government departments.
文摘This study utilizes the Dynamic Conditional Correlation-Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity (DCC-GARCH) model to investigate the dynamic relationship between Chinese and U.S. stock markets amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Initially, a univariate GARCH model is developed to derive residual sequences, which are then used to estimate the DCC model parameters. The research reveals a significant rise in the interconnection between the Chinese and U.S. stock markets during the pandemic. The S&P 500 index displayed higher sensitivity and greater volatility in response to the pandemic, whereas the CSI 300 index showed superior resilience and stability. Analysis and model estimation suggest that the market’s dependence on historical data has intensified and its sensitivity to recent shocks has heightened. Predictions from the model indicate increased market volatility during the pandemic. While the model is proficient in capturing market trends, there remains potential for enhancing the accuracy of specific volatility predictions. The study proposes recommendations for policymakers and investors, highlighting the importance of improved cooperation in international financial market regulation and investor education.
