Firstly, a fault-tolerant control strategy is presented for the longitudinal model of an AHV, which guarantees that velocity and altitude track their reference trajectories at an exponential convergence rate. However, this method needs to know the minimum value of the actuator efficiency factor and the upper bound of the external disturbances, which makes it not easy to implement. Then an improved adaptive fault-tolerant control scheme is proposed, where two adaptive laws are employed to estimate the upper bound of the external disturbances and the minimum value of the actuator efficiency factor, respectively. Secondly, the problem of designing a control scheme with control constraints is further considered, and a new adaptive fault-tolerant control strategy with input saturation is designed to guarantee that velocity and altitude track their reference trajectories. Finally, simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.展开更多

The extended state observer(ESO) is employed to compensate uncertain dynamics and disturbances, and it does not rely on the accurate model of systems. The tracking differentiator(TD) is utilized to substitute the derivative of the virtual control signals, and the explosion of complexity caused by repeated differentiations of nonlinear functions is removed. The auxiliary system is used to deal with the control input limitation, and the tracking accuracy and speed are improved by predefined tracking performance functions. With the help of the input-to-state stability(ISS) and Lyapunov stability theories, it is proven that the tracking error can be gradually converged into arbitrarily small neighborhood of the origin, and the tracking error is adjusted by suitable choice of control parameters. The simulation results are presented for the verification of the theoretical claims.展开更多

In the proposed approach, the original input saturated nonlinear system is augmented by a low pass filter. Then, new system states are introduced to implement states transformation of the augmented model. The resulting new model in affine Brunovsky form permits direct and simpler controller design by avoiding back-stepping technique and its complexity growing as done in existing methods in the literature. In controller design of the proposed approach, a state observer, based on the strictly positive real(SPR) theory, is introduced and designed to estimate the new system states, and only two neural networks are used to approximate the uncertain nonlinearities and compensate for the saturation nonlinearity of actuator. The proposed approach can not only provide a simple and effective way for construction of the controller in adaptive neural networks control of non-affine systems with input saturation, but also guarantee the tracking performance and the boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop system. The stability of the control system is investigated by using the Lyapunov theory. Simulation examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.展开更多

First, the stochastic averaging method is introduced for controlled strongly non-linear systems under wide-band random excitation using generalized harmonic functions. Then, the dynamical programming equation for the saturated control problem is formulated from the partially averaged Itō equation based on the dynamical programming principle. The optimal control consisting of the unbounded optimal control and the bounded bang-bang control is determined by solving the dynamical programming equation. It is noteworthy that a cooperative strategy of the target-defender team is applied, which has been proved more challenging for the homing guidance. The defender missile is launched by the target and guided by a cooperative augmented proportional navigation(APN). At the same time, the target performs a one-switch maneuver to cooperate and minimize the defender's acceleration requirement. The problem is analyzed for arbitrary-order linear dynamics of the agents in the linearized form but validated by the mathematical simulations by using nonlinear kinematics. The perfect information of three agents' states is assumed. Then, a method to deal with the target-defender team is proposed. It contains a combined performance index penalizing the miss distance relative to the target and energy consumption in the whole duration. Besides, the specific miss distance related to the defender is regarded as an inequality constraint. An analytical solution for the smart guidance strategy against the APN guided defender is derived. Meanwhile, the control saturations are introduced to get more realistic and reasonable insights to this practical target-missile-defender problem. A simple but effective iterative searching technique is proposed to determine the saturation time points. The solution provides an optimal homing strategy to evade the defender with a specific miss distance and intercept the target with the minimum miss distance in the minimum energy manner. Nonlinear two-dimensional simulation results are used to validate the theoretical analysis. By comparison with the optimal differential game guidance(ODGG) and the combined minimum effort guidance(CMEG), the superiority of this smart guidance strategy is concluded.展开更多

Conversely, when the system is originally stable, it is shown that under some conditions, the system is robust with respect to sufficient small delayed-impulses. Moreover, the design problem of the controller with the goal of obtaining a maximized estimate of the domain of attraction is formulated via a convex optimization problem. Three examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of the main results.展开更多

文摘The problem of fault-tolerant control is discussed for the longitudinal model of an airbreathing hypersonic vehicle (AHV) with actuator faults and external disturbances. Finally, simulation results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

By comparison with the optimal differential game guidance(ODGG) and the combined minimum effort guidance(CMEG), the superiority of this smart guidance strategy is concluded.

文摘This paper studies the problem of designing adaptive fault-tolerant controllers for linear tirne-invariant systems with actuator saturation. New methods for designing indirect adaptive fault-tolerant controllers via state feedback are presented for actuator fault compensations. Based on the on-line estimation of eventual faults, the adaptive fault-tolerant controller parameters are updating automatically to compensate the fault effects on systems. The designs are developed in the framework of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, which can enlarge the domain of attraction of closed-loop systems in the cases of actuator saturation and actuator failures. Two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the design method.

文摘An adaptive backstepping sliding mode control is proposed for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with input saturation.A command filtered approach is used to prevent input saturation from destroying the adaptive capabilities of neural networks (NNs).The control law and adaptive updating laws of NNs are derived in the sense of Lyapunov function,so the stability can be guaranteed even under the input saturation. The proposed control law is robust against the disturbance, and it can also eliminate the impact of input saturation.Simulation results indicate that the proposed controller has a good performance.

文摘A robust fault-tolerant control scheme is proposed for the longitudinal dynamics of an aircraft with input saturation, using the anti-windup method and the fault detection observer technology. To estimate the system fault,a detection observer is designed for the longitudinal dynamics, and a fault-tolerant control law is developed to compensate for the fault effects of the longitudinal dynamics. Then,an anti-windup compensator is augmented into the fault-tolerant control law to eliminate the effect of input saturation.Using linear matrix inequality(LMI)technology, the detection observer based fault-tolerant controller is designed to ensure the stability of the closed-loop system and the convergence of the detection observer. Finally, the developed robust fault-tolerant control scheme is applied to the longitudinal model of an aircraft and simulation results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

文摘This paper investigates PID control design for a class of planar nonlinear uncertain systems in the presence of actuator saturation.Based on the bounds on the growth rates of the nonlinear uncertain function in the system model, the system is placed in a linear differential inclusion. Each vertex system of the linear differential inclusion is a linear system subject to actuator saturation.By placing the saturated PID control into a convex hull formed by the PID controller and an auxiliary linear feedback law,we establish conditions under which an ellipsoid is contractively invariant and hence is an estimate of the domain of attraction of the equilibrium point of the closed-loop system. The equilibrium point corresponds to the desired set point for the system output. Thus, the location of the equilibrium point and the size of the domain of attraction determine, respectively, the set point that the output can achieve and the range of initial conditions from which this set point can be reached.Based on these conditions, the feasible set points can be determined and the design of the PID control law that stabilizes the nonlinear uncertain system at a feasible set point with a large domain of attraction can then be formulated and solved as a constrained optimization problem with constraints in the form of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs).Application of the proposed design to a magnetic suspension system illustrates the design process and the performance of the resulting PID control law.

文摘This paper investigates the exponential stability and performance analysis of nonlinear time-delay impulsive systems subject to actuator saturation. When continuous dynamics is unstable, under some conditions, it is shown that the system can be stabilized by a class of saturated delayed-impulses regardless of the length of input delays. Conversely, when the system is originally stable, it is shown that under some conditions, the system is robust with respect to sufficient small delayed-impulses. Moreover, the design problem of the controller with the goal of obtaining a maximized estimate of the domain of attraction is formulated via a convex optimization problem. Three examples are provided to demonstrate the validity of the main results.

文摘This paper studies the problem of designing adaptive fault-tolerant H-infinity controllers for linear timeinvariant systems with actuator saturation. The disturbance tolerance ability of the closed-loop system is measured by an optimal index. The notion of an adaptive H-infinity performance index is proposed to describe the disturbance attenuation performances of closed-loop systems. New methods for designing indirect adaptive fault-tolerant controllers via state feedback are presented for actuator fault compensations. Based on the on-line estimation of eventual faults, the adaptive fault-tolerant controller parameters are updated automatically to compensate for the fault effects on systems. The designs are developed in the framework of the linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, which can guarantee the disturbance tolerance ability and adaptive H-infinity performances of closed-loop systems in the cases of actuator saturation and actuator failures. An example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the design method.
