The number of blogs and other forms of opinionated online content has increased dramatically in recent years.Many fields,including academia and national security,place an emphasis on automated political article orient...The number of blogs and other forms of opinionated online content has increased dramatically in recent years.Many fields,including academia and national security,place an emphasis on automated political article orientation detection.Political articles(especially in the Arab world)are different from other articles due to their subjectivity,in which the author’s beliefs and political affiliation might have a significant influence on a political article.With categories representing the main political ideologies,this problem may be thought of as a subset of the text categorization(classification).In general,the performance of machine learning models for text classification is sensitive to hyperparameter settings.Furthermore,the feature vector used to represent a document must capture,to some extent,the complex semantics of natural language.To this end,this paper presents an intelligent system to detect political Arabic article orientation that adapts the categorical boosting(CatBoost)method combined with a multi-level feature concept.Extracting features at multiple levels can enhance the model’s ability to discriminate between different classes or patterns.Each level may capture different aspects of the input data,contributing to a more comprehensive representation.CatBoost,a robust and efficient gradient-boosting algorithm,is utilized to effectively learn and predict the complex relationships between these features and the political orientation labels associated with the articles.A dataset of political Arabic texts collected from diverse sources,including postings and articles,is used to assess the suggested technique.Conservative,reform,and revolutionary are the three subcategories of these opinions.The results of this study demonstrate that compared to other frequently used machine learning models for text classification,the CatBoost method using multi-level features performs better with an accuracy of 98.14%.展开更多
Political skill is a critical interpersonal competency.However,the self-reported political skill scale is unsuitable for personnel selection beacuse it may lead to socially desirable responses,thereby compromising the...Political skill is a critical interpersonal competency.However,the self-reported political skill scale is unsuitable for personnel selection beacuse it may lead to socially desirable responses,thereby compromising the authenticity of the test scores.Consequently,the absence of a valid assessment method limits the application of political skill in selection con-texts.In this study,we applied the situational judgment test(SJT)method to measure political skill and conducted two sub-studies to evaluate the reliability and validity of the situational judgment test of political skill(SJT-PS).Study 1 focused on the development and initial testing of the SJT-PS.The results demonstrated that the SJT-PS possessed strong structural validity and reliability.Study 2 aimed to assess the criterion-related and incremental validity of the SJT-PS.To evaluate the predictive validity of the SJT-PS in selection contexts,we first compared the correlations between the SJT-PS and self-reported political skill with social desirability.Subsequently,we selected team-member exchange(TMX)and workplace popularity as criteria.The results indicated that the SJT-PS was less affected by social desirability,while self-reported political skill exhibited a significant positive correlation with social desirability.Additionally,the SJT-PS positively pre-dicted TMX and workplace popularity and demonstrated incremental validity over the self-reported political skill scale.展开更多

文摘The questions of what kind of individuals university education should cultivate,how to cultivate them,and for whom they are being trained are pressing issues that require immediate solutions.Implementing ideological and political education is a fundamental way to address these challenges.Integrating political education into professional courses is just as important as imparting knowledge,fostering interest,transmitting values,and shaping students’character and spirit.The excavation of ideological and political elements in bridge engineering courses should comprehensively consider the dependent subject of ideological and political elements,the source of cases,the depth of excavation,the trade-offs between courses,the commonality and multifaceted nature of ideological and political elements,as well as the two ways of ideological and political elements integration.Ideological and political elements should be integrated into all stages of classroom lectures,course assignments,final examinations,course design,discipline competitions,school-enterprise cooperation,etc.,so as to achieve the effect of educating people in the whole process.
文摘As the state promotes teaching reform with the goal of ideological and political education,the teaching of various disciplines in colleges and universities is facing new challenges and novel research topics.In applied colleges and universities,as a compulsory course of general education,the ideological and political education elements have not been deeply explored,and the function of ideological and political education that should be undertaken by English teaching has not been fully realized.This paper analyzes the value of ideological and political education in college English in applied colleges and universities and discusses the effective path of ideological and political education in college English in applied colleges and universities from the four levels of teachers,teaching materials,teaching methods,and curriculum.
文摘In the Empire Series,Hardt and Negri attempt to develop biopolitical critique to contemporary capitalist society.Hardt and Negri develop their own biopolitical critique based on their understanding of Foucauldian biopolitics.In the meantime,many arguments of biopolitical critique come precisely from Marx’s critique of political economy.Identifying biopolitical production as the hegemonic paradigm of contemporary capitalist production,Hardt and Negri accomplish the transition from the critique of political economy to biopolitical critique.However,such assertion does not mean a major rupture in the relation between the critique of political economy and biopolitical critique.On the contrary,it only implies an intertwined relationship between them.Moreover,if regarding Foucault’s discussion about political economy and biopolitics as a medium,then the conclusion can be made:There are overlaps between biopolitical critique and the critique of political economy,and the source of biopolitical critique can also be traced directly back to Marx.
文摘In the context of deepening educational reforms,the significance of ideological and political education has become increasingly prominent,emerging as a crucial aspect of enhancing students’comprehensive qualities.To ensure the orderly progress of ideological and political education in courses,it is essential to actively promote the integration of ideological and political elements within coursework.This integration aims to align professional course education with ideological and political education,fostering a collaborative educational model.Therefore,in the teaching of bidding and contract management courses,constructing a“micro-ideological and political”teaching model has emerged as a critical component.The implementation of this model facilitates the seamless integration of bidding and contract management coursework with ideological and political education,thereby elevating the teaching quality of these courses.Additionally,it leverages the synergistic role of coursework and ideology in educating students,ultimately enhancing the quality and level of talent cultivation.Hence,this paper proposes strategies for constructing a“microideological and political”model within the context of ideological and political teaching reforms in bidding and contract management courses,inviting discussion and exchange on this topic.
文摘With the rapid development of the education industry,higher requirements have been put forward for college English education and teaching,accelerating the pace of college English reform.Issues such as how to integrate knowledge transmission,language expression skill improvement,cultural element extraction,and ideological and political education,and present the role of curriculum education function have attracted attention.In the era of informatization,college students’thinking has undergone certain changes and gradually developed towards diversification.Therefore,universities should start from the perspective of cultural confidence,extract valuable ideological and political elements,and explore effective tourism ideological and political teaching methods.While helping college students enhance their cultural confidence,it is also beneficial for them to better inherit traditional Chinese culture.This article conducts an in-depth exploration of ideological and political education in college English courses from the perspective of“cultural confidence”and uses scientific and effective measures to solve the problems encountered,aiming to provide valuable guidelines for relevant researchers.

文摘Using the Xi’an Mingde Institute of Technology students as the teaching object and the Personal Finance course as an example,we explore the reform of the ideological and political assessment system of process-tracking courses in applied universities.The article analyzes the feasibility of applying the curriculum ideological and political assessment system in college courses and compares the traditional assessment system.It also proposes that applying curriculum ideological and political assessment to the college curriculum assessment system will help improve students’understanding of the“value guidance”in curriculum ideological and political education and enhance the teaching effect.
文摘The number of blogs and other forms of opinionated online content has increased dramatically in recent years.Many fields,including academia and national security,place an emphasis on automated political article orientation detection.Political articles(especially in the Arab world)are different from other articles due to their subjectivity,in which the author’s beliefs and political affiliation might have a significant influence on a political article.With categories representing the main political ideologies,this problem may be thought of as a subset of the text categorization(classification).In general,the performance of machine learning models for text classification is sensitive to hyperparameter settings.Furthermore,the feature vector used to represent a document must capture,to some extent,the complex semantics of natural language.To this end,this paper presents an intelligent system to detect political Arabic article orientation that adapts the categorical boosting(CatBoost)method combined with a multi-level feature concept.Extracting features at multiple levels can enhance the model’s ability to discriminate between different classes or patterns.Each level may capture different aspects of the input data,contributing to a more comprehensive representation.CatBoost,a robust and efficient gradient-boosting algorithm,is utilized to effectively learn and predict the complex relationships between these features and the political orientation labels associated with the articles.A dataset of political Arabic texts collected from diverse sources,including postings and articles,is used to assess the suggested technique.Conservative,reform,and revolutionary are the three subcategories of these opinions.The results of this study demonstrate that compared to other frequently used machine learning models for text classification,the CatBoost method using multi-level features performs better with an accuracy of 98.14%.

文摘Political skill is a critical interpersonal competency.However,the self-reported political skill scale is unsuitable for personnel selection beacuse it may lead to socially desirable responses,thereby compromising the authenticity of the test scores.Consequently,the absence of a valid assessment method limits the application of political skill in selection con-texts.In this study,we applied the situational judgment test(SJT)method to measure political skill and conducted two sub-studies to evaluate the reliability and validity of the situational judgment test of political skill(SJT-PS).Study 1 focused on the development and initial testing of the SJT-PS.The results demonstrated that the SJT-PS possessed strong structural validity and reliability.Study 2 aimed to assess the criterion-related and incremental validity of the SJT-PS.To evaluate the predictive validity of the SJT-PS in selection contexts,we first compared the correlations between the SJT-PS and self-reported political skill with social desirability.Subsequently,we selected team-member exchange(TMX)and workplace popularity as criteria.The results indicated that the SJT-PS was less affected by social desirability,while self-reported political skill exhibited a significant positive correlation with social desirability.Additionally,the SJT-PS positively pre-dicted TMX and workplace popularity and demonstrated incremental validity over the self-reported political skill scale.

文摘Integrating ideological and political theories teaching into the whole process of classroom teaching construction is a new requirement for implementing the fundamental task of cultivating people by virtue and playing the role of collaborative education.In order to realize the seamless integration of inorganic and analytical chemistry courses and ideological and political education,this paper summarizes the current situation of ideological and political research on inorganic and analytical chemistry courses in three major databases in China(VIP,CNKI and Wanfang),and sorts out the knowledge points,ideological and political elements and educational goals according to the content of the course chapters,to provide a basic guarantee for the ideological and political education construction of the course.
