The total conductivity of the specimen containing 6m/o α-Al_2O_3 is five or six times as much as that of pure Li_(1+x)V_3O_8 (x=0.1) at room temperature. By the analyses of NMR and ESR, it is known that at low temperature, the transport activation energy of Li^+ ions reduced, the transport frequency of Li^+ ions are speeded up and thus ionic conductivity increased in the specimens containing α-Al_2O_3 particles. At high temperature, diffusion effect of α-Al_2O_3 on electronic transport becomes great, the enhancement of ionic conductivity caused by α-Al_2O_3 doesn't make up the decrease of electronic conductivity caused by the diffusion effect, so that total conductivity of the specimens containing DSPP is lower than that of pure Li_(1+x)V_3O_8(x=0.1). As a result, DSPP mainly increases ionic conductivity of the mixed conductors at room temperature.展开更多

To self-consistently characterize the spectral features of energetic particles, here we propose a novel extended pan-spectrum(EPS) formula to fit the particle energy-flux spectrum, which has the merit that can incorporate many commonly used spectrum functions with one spectral transition, including the pan-spectrum, double-power-law, Kappa, Ellison-Ramaty(ER) functions, etc. The formula can also determine the spectral shape with two spectral transitions, including the triple-power-law function, Kappa distribution(at low energy)plus power law(at high energy), power law(at low energy) plus ER function, etc. Considering the uncertainties in both J and E, we can fit this EPS formula well to the representative energy spectra of various particle phenomena in space, including solar energetic particles(electrons, protons, ~3He and heavier ions), anomalous cosmic rays, solar wind suprathermal particles(halo and superhalo electrons;pick-up ions and the suprathermal tail), etc. Therefore, the EPS fitting can help us self-consistently determine the spectral features of different particle phenomena, and improve our understanding of the physical nature of the origin, acceleration, and transportation of energetic particles in space.展开更多

Microstruc-tural examination showed that coarse intermetallic particles were formed in the microstructure and their amounts changed with variations of the alloying elements. During warm rolling of thermome-chanical treatments prior to warm deformation, the coarse particles initiated cracks, decreasing the warm formability. For healing the crack damage and further improving the warm formability, a process of hot isothermal press was developed and optimized to the sheet alloys. 文摘The multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm(MOPSO)is widely used to solve multi-objective optimization problems. In the article,amulti-objective particle swarm optimization algorithmbased on decomposition and multi-selection strategy is proposed to improve the search efficiency.First, two update strategies based on decomposition are used to update the evolving population and external archive, respectively.Second,a multiselection strategy is designed. The first strategy is for the subspace without a non-dominated solution.Among the neighbor particles, the particle with the smallest penalty-based boundary intersection value is selected as the global optimal solution and the particle far away fromthe search particle and the global optimal solution is selected as the personal optimal solution to enhance global search. The second strategy is for the subspace with a non-dominated solution. In the neighbor particles, two particles are randomly selected, one as the global optimal solution and the other as the personal optimal solution,to enhance local search. The third strategy is for Pareto optimal front(PF)discontinuity, which is identified by the cumulative number of iterations of the subspace without non-dominated solutions. In the subsequent iteration,a new probability distribution is used to select from the remaining subspaces to search.Third,an adaptive inertia weight update strategy based on the dominated degree is designed to further improve the search efficiency. Finally, the proposed algorithmis compared with fivemulti-objective particle swarm optimization algorithms and five multi-objective evolutionary algorithms on 22 test problems. The results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance.
文摘Terrain Aided Navigation(TAN)technology has become increasingly important due to its effectiveness in environments where Global Positioning System(GPS)is unavailable. In recent years,TAN systems have been extensively researched for both aerial and underwater navigation applications. However, many TAN systems that rely on recursive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)position estimation methods, such as Extended Kalman Filters(EKF),often face challenges with divergence and instability, particularly in highly non-linear systems. To address these issues, this paper proposes and investigates a hybrid two-stage TAN positioning system for UAVs that utilizes Particle Filter. To enhance the system’s robustness against uncertainties caused by noise and to estimate additional system states,a Fuzzy Particle Filter(FPF)is employed in the first stage. This approach introduces a novel terrain composite feature that enables a fuzzy expert system to analyze terrain non-linearities and dynamically adjust the number of particles in real-time.This design allows the UAV to be efficiently localized in GPS-denied environments while also reducing the computational complexity of the particle filter in real-time applications. In the second stage,an Error State Kalman Filter(ESKF)is implemented to estimate the UAV’s altitude. The ESKF is chosen over the conventional EKF method because it is more suitable for non-linear systems.Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed fuzzy-based terrain composite method achieves high positional accuracy while reducing computational time and memory usage.
文摘Assessing the behaviour and concentration of waste pollutants deposited between two parallel plates is essential for effective environmental management.Determining the effectiveness of treatment methods in reducing pollution scales is made easier by analysing waste discharge concentrations. The waste discharge concentration analysis is useful for assessing how effectively wastewater treatment techniques reduce pollution levels. This study aims to explore the Casson micropolar fluid flow through two parallel plates with the influence of pollutant concentration and thermophoretic particle deposition. To explore the mass and heat transport features, thermophoretic particle deposition and thermal radiation are considered. The governing equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations with the help of suitable similarity transformations. The Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg’s fourthfifth order technique and shooting procedure are used to solve the reduced set of equations and boundary conditions. The integration of a neural network model based on the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm serves to improve the accuracy of predictions and optimize the analysis of parameters.Graphical outcomes are displayed to analyze the characteristics of the relevant dimensionless parameters in the current problem. Results reveal that concentration upsurges as the micropolar parameter increases. The concentration reduces with an upsurge in the thermophoretic parameter. An upsurge in the external pollutant source variation and the local pollutant external source parameters enhances mass transport. The surface drag force declines for improved values of porosity and micropolar parameters.

文摘The wireless signals emitted by base stations serve as a vital link connecting people in today’s society and have been occupying an increasingly important role in real life. The development of the Internet of Things(IoT)relies on the support of base stations, which provide a solid foundation for achieving a more intelligent way of living. In a specific area, achieving higher signal coverage with fewer base stations has become an urgent problem. Therefore, this article focuses on the effective coverage area of base station signals and proposes a novel Evolutionary Particle Swarm Optimization(EPSO)algorithm based on collective prediction, referred to herein as ECPPSO.Introducing a new strategy called neighbor-based evolution prediction(NEP)addresses the issue of premature convergence often encountered by PSO.ECPPSO also employs a strengthening evolution(SE)strategy to enhance the algorithm’s global search capability and efficiency, ensuring enhanced robustness and a faster convergence speed when solving complex optimization problems. To better adapt to the actual communication needs of base stations, this article conducts simulation experiments by changing the number of base stations. The experimental results demonstrate thatunder the conditionof 50 ormore base stations,ECPPSOconsistently achieves the best coverage rate exceeding 95%,peaking at 99.4400%when the number of base stations reaches 80.These results validate the optimization capability of the ECPPSO algorithm, proving its feasibility and effectiveness.Further ablative experiments and comparisons with other algorithms highlight the advantages of ECPPSO.

文摘The energy spectrum of energetic particles in space often shows a non-thermal spectral shape with two spectral transitions/breaks over a wide energy range, carrying crucial information about their acceleration, release and transportation process. Therefore, the EPS fitting can help us self-consistently determine the spectral features of different particle phenomena, and improve our understanding of the physical nature of the origin, acceleration, and transportation of energetic particles in space.

文摘This study aims to develop a high-precision and cost-efficient method for the threedimensional reconstruction of large particles in natural gravel and blasted rock fragments, utilizing Structure from Motion(SfM)and Multi-View Stereo(MVS)techniques. The proposed approach was applied to characterize the three-dimensional morphology of rockfill dam materials at a real construction site.Particle shape was quantitatively analyzed using shape indices of sphericity, convexity, and angularity. The predominant morphology of natural gravel is characterized as slightly elongated and slightly flat, while rock fragments are slightly elongated and not flat.Probability density distributions of shape indices follow a skewed normal distribution:sphericity and convexity show leftward skewness, whereas angularity is right-skewed.Skewness parameters of sphericity and angularity are consistent between natural gravel and blasted rock fragments, indicating comparable shape asymmetry.Convexity skewness is significantly higher in natural gravel compared to rock fragments,by approximately an order of magnitude. The relationship between size and particle shape shows that form ratios and associated shape descriptors change linearly with the logarithm of size;larger particles approach spherical or cubic forms. The innovative measurements contribute to the particle shape data set of rockfill dam materials, providing valuable insights into the three-dimensional and statistical morphological characteristics of relatively large particles in natural gravel and blasted rock fragments. This approach enhances understanding of particle morphology's impact on the mechanical behavior of granular materials.

文摘The interaction between extreme waves and structures is a crucial study area in marine science,as it significantly influences safety and disaster prevention strategies for marine and coastal engineering. To investigate the flow field of a semi-submersible against extreme waves,a model simulating solitary wave interactions with the semi-submersible system was developed via the meshless smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)method and Rayleigh’s theory.Notably, the wave surface and wave load results obtained from the SPH model, compared with those of OpenFOAM,result in an interaction test case between solitary waves and partially submerged rectangular obstacles and show good agreement, with a maximum relative error of 3.4%.An analysis of the calculated results of the semi-submersible facing solitary waves revealed several key findings:overtopping, which decreases with increasing water depth, occurs on the structure when the non-submerged ratio is 0.33 and the wave height surpasses 0.2 m.The transmission coefficient decreases with increasing wave height but increases as the water depth increases.Furthermore, the reflection coefficient peaks at a wave height H0=0.2 m.The dissipation coefficient displays a valley trend with a small water depth, whereas it increases monotonically with increasing water depth. The dissipation coefficient decreases with increasing water depth.
文摘Restructuring of power market not only introduces competition but also brings complexity which increases overloading of Transmission Lines(TL).To obviate this complexity, this paper aims to mitigate the overloading and estimate the optimal location of Static Synchronous Compensator(STATCOM) by reducing congestion for a deregulated power system. The proposed method is based on the use of Locational Marginal Price(LMP) difference technique and congestion cost.LMPs are obtained as a by-product of Optimal Power Flow(OPF),whereas Congestion Cost(CC) is a function of difference in LMP and power flows. The effiectiveness of this approach is demonstrated by reducing the CC and solution space which can identify the TLs more suitable for placement of STATCOM.Importantly, total real power loss, reactive power loss and total CC are the three main objective functions in this optimization process. The process is implemented by developing an IEEE-69 bus test system which verifies and validates the effectiveness of proposed optimization technique.Additionally,a comparative analysis is enumerated by implementing two optimization techniques:Flower Pollination Algorithm(FPA) and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO).The comparative analysis is sufficient to demonstrate the superiority of FPA technique over PSO technique in estimating an optimal placement of a STATCOM.The results from the load-flow analysis illustrate the reduction in CC,total real and reactive power loss using FPA technique compared to PSO technique.Overall, satisfactory results are obtained without using complex calculations which verify the effectiveness of optimization techniques.

文摘A discontinuous smoothed particle hydrodynamics(DSPH)method considering block contacts is originally developed to model the cracking, frictional slip and large deformation in rock masses, and is verified by theoretical, numerical and/or experimental results. In the DSPH method, cracking is realized by breaking the virtual bonds via a pseudo-spring method based on Mohr–Coulomb failure criteria. The damaged particles are instantaneously replaced by discontinuous particles and the contact bond between the original and discontinuous particles is formed to simulate the frictional slip and separation/contraction between fracture surfaces based on the block contact algorithm. The motion of rock blocks and the contact force of discontinuous particles are determined following Newton's second law.The results indicate that the DSPH method precisely captures the cracking, contact formation and complete failure across six numerical benchmark tests. This single smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)framework could significantly improve computational efficiency and is potentially applicable to broad multi-physical rock engineering problems of different scales.
文摘The motion of an elliptical rigid particle in a lid-driven cavity flow was numerically simulated using the immersed boundary lattice Boltzmann method(IB-LBM).The effects of the particle's initial orientation angle, initial position, aspect ratio, and size on the motion characteristics were investigated. The computational results indicate that the particle's motion undergoes two distinct stages:a starting stage that involves moving from the release position to a limit cycle, and a periodic stage that involves moving on the limit cycle. The initial orientation of the particle has a minimal impact on both stages of motion. In contrast, the time it takes for the particle to reach the limit cycle may vary depending on the release position.Furthermore, particles with a larger aspect ratio exhibit a greater maximum velocity magnitude;an increase in particle size causes the particle trajectory to contract more toward the center of the cavity, decreasing the centrifugal force experienced by the particle.

文摘The energetic particle detector on China's space station can determine the energy, flux, and direction of medium-and highenergy protons, electrons, heavy ions, and neutrons within the path of the station's orbit. It also assesses the linear energy transfer(LET)spectra and radiation dose rates generated by these particles. Neutron detection is a significant component of this work, utilizing a new type of Cs_(2)LiYCl_(6): Ce scintillator material along with plastic scintillators as sensors. In-orbit testing has demonstrated the efficient identification of space neutrons and gamma rays(n/γ). This data plays a crucial role in supporting manned space engineering, scientific research, and other related fields.
文摘Several alloying elements involving Zr, Cu, Zn and Sc were added to Al-Mg sheet alloys in order to obtain an excellent combination of high strength and good high-temperature formability. With this process, the biaxial stretch formability at 350℃ was improved by 22% for an aluminum alloy containing a large amount of coarse particles.
