The types of question to “Continuation Writing” integrate and improve the teaching of reading and writing and update the traditional writing teaching modes. While improving students’ ability to read and subsequently write effectively is the primary challenge faced by front-line teachers. With this in mind, we will discuss the current state of Continuation Writing instruction in senior high school English teaching and analyze the primary challenges encountered in the ongoing process of teaching writing. Guided by the principles of the new curriculum reform, we aim to deeply integrate reading and writing activities within the broader senior high school English teaching. The final goal is to develop a new teaching model of “Reading-Writing-Assessment-Rewriting” which integrating with the comprehensive teaching objectives of senior high school English overall unit. This will provide a practical reference for the field of “continuation writing” in senior high school English teaching, and enhance students’ abilities to read and write effectively in their future lives.展开更多
