Herein,the co-pyrolysis reaction characteristics of corn straw(CS)and bituminous coal in the presence of ilmenite oxygen carriers(OCs)are investigated via thermogravimetry coupled with mass spectrometry.The results reveal that the participation of OCs weakens the devolatilization intensity of co-pyrolysis.When the CS blending ratio is<50%,the mixed fuel exhibits positive synergistic effects.The fitting results according to the Coats-Redfern integral method show that the solid-solid interaction between OCs and coke changes the reaction kinetics,enhancing the co-pyrolysis reactivity at the high-temperature zone(750-950C).The synergistic effect is most prominent at a 30%CS blending ratio,with copyrolysis activation energy in the range of 26.35-40.57 kJ·mol^(-1). 展开更多

Mordenite with different Si/Al ratios were synthesized by solvent-free method and used for dimethyl ether(DME)carbonylation reaction.The influence of Si/Al ratio in the feedstock on the structure,porosity and acid sites were systematically investigated.The characterization results showed that with the increase of Si/Al ratio in the feedstock,part of silicon species fail to enter the skeleton and the specific surface area and pore volume of the samples decreased.The amount of weak acid and medium strong acid decreased alongside with the increasing Si/Al ratio,and the amount of strong acid slightly increased.The Al atoms preferentially enter the strong acid sites in the 8 member ring(MR)channel during the crystallization process.The high Si/Al ratio sample had more acid sites located in the 8 MR channel,leading to more active sites for carbonylation reaction and higher catalytic performance.Appropriately increasing the Si/Al ratio was beneficial for the improvement of carbonylation reaction activity over the mordenite(MOR)catalyst. 展开更多

Among the sustainable energy sources,hydrogen is the one most promising for alleviating the pollution issues related to the usage of conventional fuels,as it can be produced in an efficient and eco-friendly way via electrocatalytic water splitting.The hydrogen evolution reaction(HER,a half-reaction of water splitting)plays a pivotal role in decreasing the price and increasing the catalytic efficiency of hydrogen production and is efficiently promoted by metal phosphides in different electrolytes.Herein,we summarize the recent advances in the development of metal phosphides as HER electrocatalysts,focus on their synthesis(post-treatment,in situ generation,and electrodeposition methods)and the enhancement of their electrocatalytic activity(via elemental doping,interface and vacancy engineering,construction of specific supports and nanostructures,and the design of bior polymetallic phosphides),and highlight the crucial issues and challenges of future development. 展开更多

By using NaOH and Na2SiO3 as the activator,the mechanical properties and shrinkage of the geopolymer after incorporation of 0%,10%,20%,and 30% epoxy resin were investigated.The mechanism of epoxy resin toughening metakaolin based geopolymer was analyzed by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.It was shown that with the increases of epoxy resin,the shrinkage performance was obviously improved and the flexural strength increased by 53.5%.The compressive strength of EGP10,EGP20,and EGP30 increased by 49.12%,57.04%,and 65.34% after curing for 28 days,respectively.There were five obvious vibration peaks of 811 cm^-1,1 000 cm^-1,1 050 cm^-1,1 590cm^-1,and 3 400 cm^-1 in the geopolymer and the undisturbed metakaolin.More geopolymer gels were formed in the material and the microstructure was more compact. 展开更多

The seawater desalination based on solardriven interfacial evaporation has emerged as a promising technique to alleviate the global crisis on freshwater shortage.However,achieving high desalination performance on actual,oil-contaminated seawater remains a critical challenge,because the transport channels and evaporation interfaces of the current solar evaporators are easily blocked by the oil slicks,resulting in undermined evaporation rate and conversion efficiency.Herein,we propose a facile strategy for fabricating a modularized solar evaporator based on flexible MXene aerogels with arbitrarily tunable,highly ordered cellular/lamellar pore structures for high-efficiency oil interception and desalination.The core design is the creation of 1D fibrous MXenes with sufficiently large aspect ratios,whose superior flexibility and plentiful link forms lay the basis for controllable 3D assembly into more complicated pore structures.The cellular pore structure is responsible for effective contaminants rejection due to the multi-sieving effect achieved by the omnipresent,isotropic wall apertures together with underwater superhydrophobicity,while the lamellar pore structure is favorable for rapid evaporation due to the presence of continuous,large-area evaporation channels.The modularized solar evaporator delivers the best evaporation rate(1.48 kg m-2h-1)and conversion efficiency(92.08%)among all MXene-based desalination materials on oil-contaminated seawater. 展开更多

Identification of abnormal conditions is essential in the chemical process.With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology,deep learning has attracted a lot of attention as a promising fault identification method in chemical process recently.In the high-dimensional data identification using deep neural networks,problems such as insufficient data and missing data,measurement noise,redundant variables,and high coupling of data are often encountered.To tackle these problems,a feature based deep belief networks(DBN)method is proposed in this paper.First,a generative adversarial network(GAN)is used to reconstruct the random and non-random missing data of chemical process.Second,the feature variables are selected by Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient(SRCC)from high-dimensional data to eliminate the noise and redundant variables and,as a consequence,compress data dimension of chemical process.Finally,the feature filtered data is deeply abstracted,learned and tuned by DBN for multi-case fault identification.The application in the Tennessee Eastman(TE)process demonstrates the fast convergence and high accuracy of this proposal in identifying abnormal conditions for chemical process,compared with the traditional fault identification algorithms. 展开更多

Lubrication failure is one of the main failure forms of gear failure.Time varying meshing stiffness is an important factor affecting the dynamic behavior of gears.However,the influence of oil film stiffness is usually ignored in the research process.In this paper,according to the meshing characteristics of double involute gears,based on the non-Newtonian thermal EHL theory,a new calculation method of normal and tangential oil film stiffness for double involute gears is established by the idea of subsection method.The oil film stiffness difference between double involute gears and common involute gears is analyzed,and the influence of tooth waist order parameters,working conditions,and thermal effect on the oil film stiffness are studied.The results reveal that there are some differences between normal and tangential oil film stiffness between double involute gears and common involute gears,but there is little difference.Compared with the torque,rotation speed and initial viscosity of the lubricating oil,the tooth waist order parameters have less influence on the oil film stiffness.Thermal effect has a certain influence on normal and tangential oil film stiffness,which indicates that the influence of thermal effect on the oil film can not be ignored.This research proposes a calculation method of normal and tangential oil film stiffness suitable for double involute gears,which provides a theoretical basis for improving the stability of the transmission. 展开更多

The radial-orientation-die has special structure to make short fibers get radial orientation in rubber matrix during extrusion process,which means the physical and mechanical properties of short fiber and rubber composite material will be influenced by the die different structures. The effects of radial-orientation-die structure parameters on properties of short fiber and rubber composite were studied experimentally by different structure parameters, including expansion ratio, expansion angle, dam clearance, molding channel length, convergence angle, and transition channel length. The experimental results indicated that short fiber and rubber composite could get good properties with optimized radial-orientation-die structure parameter. And the optimized structure parameters are that expansion ratio is about 5with an expansion angle of 150°,dam clearance is about 4 mm,molding channel length is about 50 mm,convergence angle is about120°,and transition channel length is about 30 mm. Accordingly,the physical and mechanical properties of the composite can be remarkably improved,which give an obvious anisotropy. 展开更多

Biomass chemical looping gasification technology is one of the essential ways to utilize abundant biomass resources.At the same time,dimethyl carbonate can replace phosgene as an environmentfriendly organic material for the synthesis of polycarbonate.In this paper,a novel system coupling biomass chemical looping gasification with dimethyl carbonate synthesis with methanol as an intermediate is designed through microscopic mechanism analysis and process optimization.Firstly,reactive force field molecular dynamics simulation is performed to explore the reaction mechanism of biomass chemical looping gasification to determine the optimal gasification temperature range.Secondly,steady-state simulations of the process based on molecular dynamics simulation results are carried out to investigate the effects of temperature,steam to biomass ratio,and oxygen carrier to biomass ratio on the syngas yield and compositions.In addition,the main energy indicators of biomass chemical looping gasification process including lower heating value and cold gas efficiency are analyzed based on the above optimum parameters.Then,two synthesis stages are simulated and optimized with the following results obtained:the optimal temperature and pressure of methanol synthesis stage are 150℃ and 4 MPa;the optimal temperature and pressure of dimethyl carbonate synthesis stage are 140℃ and 0.3 MPa.Finally,the pre-separation-extraction-decantation process separates the mixture of dimethyl carbonate and methanol generated in the synthesis stage with 99.11%purity of dimethyl carbonate.Above results verify the feasibility of producing dimethyl carbonate from the perspective of multi-scale simulation and realize the multi-level utilization of biomass resources. 展开更多

The planetary lander usually selects image feature points and tracks them from frame to frame in order to determine its own position and velocity during landing. Aiming to keep features tracking in consecutive frames, this paper proposes an approach of calculating the field of view (FOV) overlapping area in a 2D plane. Then the rotational and translational motion constraints of the lander can be found. If the FOVs intersects each other, the horizontal velocity of the lander is quickly estimated based on the least square method after the ill-conditioned matrices are eliminated previously. The Monte Carlo simulation results show that the proposed approach is not only able to recover the ego-motion of planetary lander, but also improves the stabilization performance. The relationship of the estimation error, running time and number of points is shown in the simulation results as well. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation. 展开更多

Based on the quantum chemical descriptors and the activities for isoprene polymerization of 12 neodymium carboxylates obtained by authors’earlier work,statistical analysis of data was made and a QSAR model correlating the quantum chemical descriptors and the activity was built with the partial least square(PLS)approach.The model is:A=51602εHOMO+6σ+12546,which indicates that the catalytic activity A is positively correlated with the HOMO energyεHOMOand the ligand polarizabilityσ,with the contribution ofσbeing larger,εHOMO smaller.The model’s coefficient of determination r^2=0.96 and that of cross validation q^2=0.94,both being close to 1,which means that its quality is well and its predictive power is strong.Analysis of the modeling process and the resulted QSAR model,together with the interpretation of the model’s mechanism,also shows that the model obtained from this study is valid and reliable.According to the QSAR model,the mechanism of catalyst activity can be interpreted as that neodymium carboxylates with higher HOMO energy and larger ligand polarizability are easier to react with the co-catalysts so as to produce more active and stable centers of catalyst,resulting in a higher activity. 展开更多

Nowadays,the efficient and cleaner utilization of coal have attracted wide attention due to the rich coal and rare oil/gas resources structure in China.Coal chemical looping gasification(CCLG)is a promising coal utilization technology to achieve energy conservation and emission reduction targets for highly pure synthesis gas.As a downstream product of synthesis gas,methyl methacrylate(MMA),is widely used as raw material for synthesizing polymethyl methacrylate and resin products with excellent properties.So this paper proposes a novel system integrating MMA production and CCLG(CCLG-MMA)processes aiming at"energy saving and low emission",in which the synthesis gas produced by CCLG and purified by dry methane reforming(DMR)reaction and Rectisol process reacts with ethylene for synthesizing MMA.Firstly,the reaction mechanism of CCLG is investigated by using Reactive force field(ReaxFF)MD simulation based on atomic models of char and oxygen carrier(Fe_(2)O_(3))for obtaining optimum reaction temperature of fuel reactor(FR).Secondly,the steady-state simulation of CCLG-MMA system is carried out to verify the feasibility of MMA production.The amount of CO_(2)emitted by CCLG process and DMR reaction is 0.0028(kg CO_(2))^(-1)·(kg MMA)^(-1).The total energy consumption of the CCLG-MMA system is 45521 kJ·(kg MMA)^(-1),among which the consumption of MMA production part is 25293 k(·kg MMA)^(-1).The results show that the CCLG-MMA system meets CO_(2)emission standard and has lower energy consumption compared to conventional MMA production process.Finally,one control scheme is designed to verify the stability of CCLG-MMA system.The CCLG-MMA integration strategy aims to obtain highly pure MMA from multi-scale simulation perspectives,so this is an optimal design regarding all factors influencing cleaner MMA production. 展开更多

Amphiphilic CS-SA polymers were prepared using the SA modified by small molecule water-soluble chitosan, and CS-SA nanomicelles and FF/CS-SA nanomicelles were prepared by using CSSA polymers as the material with dialysis-ultrasound method. CS-SA polymers, CS-SA nanomicelles, and FF/CS-SA nanomicelles were characterized by FT-IR, TGA, and SEM. Results showed that the SA was grafted to the amino of CS by amide bond. CS-SA nanomicelles and FF/CS-SA nanomicelles were spherical, smooth without fold. The influence of different molar ratio of FF to CS-SA polymers on the encapsulation efficiency and drug-loading rate determined the best molar ratio that was 1:1.09. In vitro release experiments, drug release performance study found that hydrophobic drug releasing from FF/CS-SA nanomicelles presented sustainedrelease. In vitro bacteriostasis experiments, when the concentration was higher than 4.98 mg/mL, FF/CSSA nanomicelles had antibacterial action and a positive correlation with concentration. The results revealed that amphiphilic chitosan derivative nanomicelles were carriers with broad prospects, increasing solubility of hydrophobic drugs and presenting sustained release for hydrophobic drugs, which provided a new research idea for drug delivery and targeted drug delivery of hydrohobic drugs. 展开更多

The perturbation method is used to study the localization of electric field distribution and the effective nonlinear response of graded composites under an external alternating-current(AC) and direct-current(DC) electric field E app = E 0(1 + sin ωt).The dielectric profile of the cylindrical inclusions is modeled by function ε i(r) = C k r k(r ≤ a),where r is the radius of the cylindrical inclusion,and C k,k,a are parameters.In the dilute limit,the local potentials and the effective nonlinear responses at all harmonics are derived.Meanwhile,the general effective nonlinear responses are also derived and compared with the effective nonlinear responses at harmonics under the AC and DC external field.It is found that the effective nonlinear AC and DC responses at harmonics can be calculated by those of the general effective nonlinear of the graded composites under the external DC electric field.Moreover,the obtained local electrical fields show that the electrical field distribution in the cylindrical inclusions is controllable,and the maximum of the electric field inside the cylinder is at its center. 展开更多

The factors affecting the modification results, including addition level of ZnS and holding time, were investigated. The results showed that the average size of the most effectively modified primary silicon was 28.5 μm when the ZnS mixed powder addition was 0.15 wt.% with a holding time of 10 min. More important, the average size of primary silicon could remain below 40 μm despite the holding time extending to 120 min, which means ZnS is a promising modifying agent of primarySi in industrial applications. 展开更多

Biomass activated carbon(BAC)was produced from ginger stems by carbonization and activation presented high specific surface areas and mesoporous structures.The carbonization temperature of the ginger stems were controlled within 500~900℃.The optimal carbonization condition is as follows:carbonization temperature of 700℃,carbonization time of 6 h.The determined optimum activation condition is:temperature of 800℃,activator of KOH and carbonized product/alkali ratio of 1:4(w/w).The carbonization yield,BAC yield and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area were measured and the adsorption performance of BAC to nitrogen was investigated.The results showed that the nitrogen adsorption isotherm curve was as type I isotherm.It was finally determined that the BET surface area was 660 m2/g under the abovementioned optimal conditions of carbonization and activation.The FESEM analysis indicates that the obtained BAC is of micropore structure. 展开更多

A novel alpha function for Peng-Robinson equation of state was proposed and generalized with acentric factor and dipole moment for predicting thermodynamic properties of non-polar,weakly polar,and polar compounds.The parameters of new alpha function were fitted with vapor pressures of 70 compounds.Six different methods were investigated for the correlation of parameters of new alpha function and Heyen alpha function.The generalized new alpha function passed the consistency test.The results indicated that the predictive accuracy of generalized new alpha function and generalized Heyen alpha function was improved for the estimation of vapor pressure of 11 kinds of compounds,with the average relative deviations(ARDs)being 2.60%and 2.76%.The ARDs of the two generalized alpha functions were 2.04%and 2.09%for the enthalpy of vaporization.However,the generalized new alpha function and the other alpha functions had great deviations for the prediction of liquid volumes and isobaric heat capacities.The alpha function that was generalized with acentric factor and reduced dipole moment was more accurate than that was generalized with acentric factor,especially for the prediction of vapor pressure and enthalpy of vaporization of polar compounds. 展开更多

This study assessed the effects of changes in organic carbon content on soil bacterial community composition and diversity in the Antarctic Fildes Peninsula.16 S rRNA gene sequencing was performed to investigate bacterial community composition.Firstly,we found that organic carbon(OrC)and nutrients showed an increasing trend in the lake area.Secondly,soil geochemistry changes affected microbial composition in the soil.Specifically,we found 3416 operational taxonomical units(OTUs)in 300 genera in five main phyla:Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,Acidobacteria,Chloroflexi,and Bacteroidetes.Although the diversity was similar among the four sites,the composition was different.Among them,Hungateii content changed very significantly,from 16.67% to 33.33%.Canonical correspondence analysis showed that most measured geochemical factors were relevant in structuring microbiomes,and organic carbon concentration showed the highest correlation,followed by NO3^--N.Hungateii was significantly correlated with the content of organic carbon.Our finding suggested organic carbon played an important role in soil bacterial communities of the Antarctic coastal lake region. 展开更多

Prokaryotic diversity and community composition in the water column of eight stations(63 samples) around the Antarctic Peninsula of the Southern Ocean were investigated. Through pyrosequencing of the V3–V4hypervariable regions of the 16S ribosomal RNA gene, we characterized 4 720 089 valid reads representing 48 188operational taxonomic units(OTUs, 97% similarity). The community was dominated by the phyla Pseudomonadota(original name: Proteobacteria, 47%), Oxyphotobacteria(26%), and Bacteroidota(original name: Bacteroidetes, 18%), which comprised an average of 91% of the total OTUs in all samples. The prokaryotic community composition varied vertically within the water column. Water column prokaryotic communities exhibited a clear depth profile, with higher microbial richness and higher diversity observed with increasing water depth. Cluster analysis of the community composition of water column samples exhibited a similar trend with depth. Correlation with environmental factors suggested distinct variation in prokaryotic community composition with changes in depth, salinity, temperature and dissolved oxygen levels. Functional prediction showed presence of active nitrogen, sulphur and methane metabolic cycles along the vertical transect of the studied region. These results will improve our knowledge of prokaryotic diversity and community composition at different depth of water column for better understanding of the microbial ecology and nutrient cycles in Antarctic Peninsula region of the Southern Ocean. 展开更多
