The study aims to explore the impact of governance and macroeconomic conditions on financial stability in developed and emerging countries.The study sample comprised 122 countries from 2013 to 2020,and a comprehensive...The study aims to explore the impact of governance and macroeconomic conditions on financial stability in developed and emerging countries.The study sample comprised 122 countries from 2013 to 2020,and a comprehensive set of variables was used to construct the financial stability index(FSI).The results of the two-step system GMM analysis,robust with D–K regression,indicate that interest rate,GDP growth,voice and accountability,political stability and absence of violence/terrorism,government effectiveness,regulatory quality,and control of corruption have a positive and statistically significant impact on financial stability.However,inflation,money supply,and the rule of law have adverse and insignificant effects on financial stability.Notably,the findings vary between developed and emerging countries due to differences in governance and macroeconomic conditions and their role in financial stability.The study concludes that regulatory governance and macroeconomic conditions are crucial for financial stability.These outcomes are significant for central banks,academia,and policymakers,as they emphasize the need for stable financial systems and sustainable,balanced growth through governance and macroeconomic conditions.展开更多

The study finds that the institution and globalisation factors have become the growth driver of state-owned automakers. At each stage, it is found that there is a convergence in the organisational behaviour of state-owned automakers. The change in driving force, has, however, led to the transformation of organisational behaviour of those state-owned automobile enterprises undergoing the process of evolving from a joint venture model to a proprietary innovation model. Meanwhile, this paper validates the mean reversion time sequence for consecutive 54 week data of fund market. The result indicates that this model can effectively prove that Chinese close-end fund market follows the biased random walk. The research also proves that the fund discount does have mean reversion tendency and averagely the fund with high discount has a higher excess yield than that of the fund with low discount. The mean excess yield and the ratio between discount rate deviation and standard deviation demonstrate a descending relationship. The optimum investment period based on "mean reversion" is one month. Consequently this model provides a new arbitrage method through the discount of close-end fund.展开更多

Automated driving has recently attracted significant attention.While considerable research has been conducted on the technologies and societal acceptance of autonomous vehicles,investigations into the control and sche...Automated driving has recently attracted significant attention.While considerable research has been conducted on the technologies and societal acceptance of autonomous vehicles,investigations into the control and scheduling of urban automated driving traffic are still nascent.As automated driving gains traction,urban traffic control logic is poised for substantial transformation.Presently,both manual and automated driving predominantly operate under a local decision-making traffic mode,where driving decisions are based on the vehicle’s status and immediate environment.This mode,however,does not fully exploit the potential benefits of automated driving,particularly in optimizing road network resources and traffic efficiency.In response to the increasing adoption of automated driving,it is essential for traffic bureaus to initiate proactive dialogs regarding urban traffic control from a global perspective.This paper introduces a novel global control mode for urban automated driving traffic.Its core concept involves the central scheduling of all autonomous vehicles within the road network through vehicle-infrastructure cooperation,thereby optimizing traffic flow.This paper elucidates the mechanism and process of the global control mode.Given the operational complexity of expansive road networks,the paper suggests segmenting these networks into multiple manageable regions.This mode is conceptualized as an autonomous vehicle global scheduling problem,for which a mathematical model is formulated and a modified A-star algorithm is developed.The experimental findings reveal that(i)the algorithm consistently delivers high-quality solutions promptly and(ii)the global scheduling mode significantly reduces traffic congestion and equitably distributes resources.In conclusion,this paper presents a viable and efficacious new control mode that could substantially enhance urban automated traffic efficiency.展开更多

On the basis of a series of lemmas, the paper establishes a new criterion on convergence in probability of the Euler-Maruyama approximate solution. The criterion is very general so that many highly nonlinear stochastic pantograph equations can obey these conditions. A highly nonlinear example is provided to illustrate the main theory.展开更多

Then, inventory optimization model for supply-hub is formulated from the angle of the manufacturer, and the optimization algorithm for obtaining optimal inventory levels is given. The result shows that liability period decides the share of the inventory cost between two sides in supply chain. With the increase of liability period, the service level has been quickly reduced even though the manufacturer's cost has been cut down by transferring the inventory cost to the supplier. As to the safety inventory, if the lower bound of components safety inventory increases, the supplier's cost will rise up more slowly than the liability period does, while the service levels increases as the safety inventory's lower bound is raised.展开更多
Against the current social and technological background dominated by services and technology,new opportunities are opening up for the industrial transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.Considering th...Against the current social and technological background dominated by services and technology,new opportunities are opening up for the industrial transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.Considering the successful transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry through servitization,scholars and practitioners have begun to explore the possibility of servitization in the construction industry.Current practices and theory show that different understandings of servitization in the construction sector exist;however,they are still in their infancy and lack a deep and systematic awareness,which does not benefit the transformation and upgrading of construction through servitization.Therefore,this paper systematically analyzes the motivation,definition,and implications of servitization in construction based on the value-adding nature of servitization and considers the problems confronting the construction industry.To facilitate this development,transformation pathways for servitization in construction are analyzed from multiple angles,including value co-creation,service innovation,and networked operation,which are in line with the new trends in digital construction.In addition,based on the supporting elements of construction,which include finance,human resources,technology,materials,and equipment,this paper examines the impact of servitization on the construction industry’s ecology.In short,we expect that this systematic analysis and exposition can provide a holistic view of servitization in construction from the inside out for scholars and practitioners and can help to promote servitization in construction.展开更多

In recent years,when planning and determining a travel destination,residents often make the best of Internet techniques to access extensive travel information.Search engines undeniably reveal visitors'real-time pr...In recent years,when planning and determining a travel destination,residents often make the best of Internet techniques to access extensive travel information.Search engines undeniably reveal visitors'real-time preferences when planning to visit a destination.More and more researchers have adopted tourism-related search engine data in the field of tourism prediction.However,few studies use search engine data to conduct cluster analysis to identify residents'choice toward a tourism destination.In the present study,146 keywords related to“Beijing tourism”are obtained from Baidu index and principal component analysis(PCA)is applied to reduce the dimensionality of keywords obtained by Baidu index.Modified affinity propagation(MAP)clustering algorithm is used to classify provinces into several groups to identify the choice of residents to travel to Beijing.The result shows that residents in Hebei province are most likely to travel to Beijing.The cluster result also shows that PCA–MAP performs better than other clustering methods such as K-means,linkage,and Affinity Propogation(AP)in terms of silhouette coefficient and Calinski–Harabaz index.We also distinguish the difference of residents’choice to travel to Beijing during the peak tourist season and off-season.The residents of Tianjing are inclined to travel to Beijing during the peak tourist season.The residents of Guangdong,Hebei,Henan,Jiangsu,Liaoning,Shanghai,Shandong,and Zhejiang have high attention to travel to Beijing during both seasons.展开更多

First, the authors introduce the notion of s...This article develops a model to examine the equilibrium behavior of the time inconsistency problem in a continuous time economy with stochastic and endogenized distortion. First, the authors introduce the notion of sequentially rational equilibrium, and show that the time inconsistency problem may be solved with trigger reputation strategies for stochastic setting. The conditions for the existence of sequentially rational equilibrium are provided. Then, the concept of sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium is introduced. The authors compare the relative stability between the cooperative behavior and uncooperative behavior, and show that the cooperative equilibrium in this monetary policy game is a sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium and the uncooperative equilibrium is sequentially rational stochastically unstable equilibrium. In the long run, the zero inflation monetary policies are inherently more stable than the discretion rules, and once established, they tend to persist for longer periods of the time.展开更多

文摘Automated driving has recently attracted significant attention.While considerable research has been conducted on the technologies and societal acceptance of autonomous vehicles,investigations into the control and scheduling of urban automated driving traffic are still nascent.As automated driving gains traction,urban traffic control logic is poised for substantial transformation.Presently,both manual and automated driving predominantly operate under a local decision-making traffic mode,where driving decisions are based on the vehicle’s status and immediate environment.This mode,however,does not fully exploit the potential benefits of automated driving,particularly in optimizing road network resources and traffic efficiency.In response to the increasing adoption of automated driving,it is essential for traffic bureaus to initiate proactive dialogs regarding urban traffic control from a global perspective.This paper introduces a novel global control mode for urban automated driving traffic.Its core concept involves the central scheduling of all autonomous vehicles within the road network through vehicle-infrastructure cooperation,thereby optimizing traffic flow.This paper elucidates the mechanism and process of the global control mode.Given the operational complexity of expansive road networks,the paper suggests segmenting these networks into multiple manageable regions.This mode is conceptualized as an autonomous vehicle global scheduling problem,for which a mathematical model is formulated and a modified A-star algorithm is developed.The experimental findings reveal that(i)the algorithm consistently delivers high-quality solutions promptly and(ii)the global scheduling mode significantly reduces traffic congestion and equitably distributes resources.In conclusion,this paper presents a viable and efficacious new control mode that could substantially enhance urban automated traffic efficiency.
文摘Despite a plethora of studies on how corporate social responsibility(CSR)generates favorable consumer outcomes,the existing literature provides limited insights about how CSR may affect inter-consumer connection and brand community engagement.Enhancing consumer engagement in the brand community is one of the key marketing objectives for strengthening the brand-consumer relationship.This study aims to explore the role of corporate social responsibility in enhancing brand community engagement and examines the dual mediating role of brand identification and community identification.Quantitative research was conducted and an adapted questionnaire was used.Survey data were collected from 405 Chinese consumers,and structural equational modeling was used to test the hypothesis.Results demonstrated that CSR motivates consumers to engage with the brand community.Further,brand identification and community identification perform the role of partial mediators.

文摘The paper develops exponential stability of the analytic solution and convergence in probability of the numerical method for highly nonlinear hybrid stochastic pantograph equation. The classical linear growth condition is replaced by polynomial growth conditions, under which there exists a unique global solution and the solution is almost surely exponentially stable. On the basis of a series of lemmas, the paper establishes a new criterion on convergence in probability of the Euler-Maruyama approximate solution. The criterion is very general so that many highly nonlinear stochastic pantograph equations can obey these conditions. A highly nonlinear example is provided to illustrate the main theory.

文摘A replenishment decision-making model for supply-hub is firstly established from the angle of supplier, and optimal replenishment decision of the supplier is analyzed. Then, inventory optimization model for supply-hub is formulated from the angle of the manufacturer, and the optimization algorithm for obtaining optimal inventory levels is given. The result shows that liability period decides the share of the inventory cost between two sides in supply chain. With the increase of liability period, the service level has been quickly reduced even though the manufacturer's cost has been cut down by transferring the inventory cost to the supplier. As to the safety inventory, if the lower bound of components safety inventory increases, the supplier's cost will rise up more slowly than the liability period does, while the service levels increases as the safety inventory's lower bound is raised.

文摘Against the current social and technological background dominated by services and technology,new opportunities are opening up for the industrial transformation and upgrading of the construction industry.Considering the successful transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry through servitization,scholars and practitioners have begun to explore the possibility of servitization in the construction industry.Current practices and theory show that different understandings of servitization in the construction sector exist;however,they are still in their infancy and lack a deep and systematic awareness,which does not benefit the transformation and upgrading of construction through servitization.Therefore,this paper systematically analyzes the motivation,definition,and implications of servitization in construction based on the value-adding nature of servitization and considers the problems confronting the construction industry.To facilitate this development,transformation pathways for servitization in construction are analyzed from multiple angles,including value co-creation,service innovation,and networked operation,which are in line with the new trends in digital construction.In addition,based on the supporting elements of construction,which include finance,human resources,technology,materials,and equipment,this paper examines the impact of servitization on the construction industry’s ecology.In short,we expect that this systematic analysis and exposition can provide a holistic view of servitization in construction from the inside out for scholars and practitioners and can help to promote servitization in construction.
文摘Despite limited studies have found the negative relationships between calling and mental health symptoms,its underlying mechanism is still unknown.Drawing on the conservation of resources theory(COR),this study developed the resources model that explains the relationships between career calling,anxiety and depression,and the underlying mechanism.With a sample of 628 employees from the two-wave survey,the theorized model was tested.The results showed that career calling was able to decrease the levels of employees’anxiety and depression,and two important resources(i.e.,personal growth,and meaningful work)provided explanatory mechanisms for the relationships.The findings highlight the importance of spirituality in the workplace.Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

文摘In recent years,when planning and determining a travel destination,residents often make the best of Internet techniques to access extensive travel information.Search engines undeniably reveal visitors'real-time preferences when planning to visit a destination.More and more researchers have adopted tourism-related search engine data in the field of tourism prediction.However,few studies use search engine data to conduct cluster analysis to identify residents'choice toward a tourism destination.In the present study,146 keywords related to“Beijing tourism”are obtained from Baidu index and principal component analysis(PCA)is applied to reduce the dimensionality of keywords obtained by Baidu index.Modified affinity propagation(MAP)clustering algorithm is used to classify provinces into several groups to identify the choice of residents to travel to Beijing.The result shows that residents in Hebei province are most likely to travel to Beijing.The cluster result also shows that PCA–MAP performs better than other clustering methods such as K-means,linkage,and Affinity Propogation(AP)in terms of silhouette coefficient and Calinski–Harabaz index.We also distinguish the difference of residents’choice to travel to Beijing during the peak tourist season and off-season.The residents of Tianjing are inclined to travel to Beijing during the peak tourist season.The residents of Guangdong,Hebei,Henan,Jiangsu,Liaoning,Shanghai,Shandong,and Zhejiang have high attention to travel to Beijing during both seasons.

文摘This article develops a model to examine the equilibrium behavior of the time inconsistency problem in a continuous time economy with stochastic and endogenized distortion. First, the authors introduce the notion of sequentially rational equilibrium, and show that the time inconsistency problem may be solved with trigger reputation strategies for stochastic setting. The conditions for the existence of sequentially rational equilibrium are provided. Then, the concept of sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium is introduced. The authors compare the relative stability between the cooperative behavior and uncooperative behavior, and show that the cooperative equilibrium in this monetary policy game is a sequentially rational stochastically stable equilibrium and the uncooperative equilibrium is sequentially rational stochastically unstable equilibrium. In the long run, the zero inflation monetary policies are inherently more stable than the discretion rules, and once established, they tend to persist for longer periods of the time.
文摘Mitigation and adaptation are two principle strategies for managing human-induced climate change. Agriculture plays a duet role in climate change. It has been a major source of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. It is also one of the sectors most vulnerable to the risks and impacts of global climate change. This paper first indentified the mitigative and adaptative options and potential in agriculture, then addressed the integrated analysis of mitigation and adaptation and its benefits for agriculture. Finally, it discussed the implications to Chinese agriculture in dealing with the global climate change.
