When material properties, geometry parameters and applied loads are assumed to be stochastic, the vibration equation of a system is transformed to static problem by using Newmark method. In order to improve the computational efficiency and to save storage, the Conjugate Gradient (CG) method is presented. The CG is an effective method for solving a large system of linear equations and belongs to the method of iteration with rapid convergence and high precision. An example is given and calculated results are compared to validate the proposed methods. 展开更多

A multi-objective scheme for structural topology optimization of distributed compliant mechanisms of micro-actuators in MEMS condition is presented in this work, in which mechanical flexibility and structural stiffness are both considered as objective functions. The compliant micro-mechanism developed in this way can not only provide sufficient output work but also have sufficient rigidity to resist reaction forces and maintain its shape when holding the work-piece. A density filtering approach is also proposed to eliminate numerical instabilities such as checkerboards, mesh-dependency and one-node connected hinges occurring in resulting mechanisms. SIMP is used as the interpolation scheme to indicate the dependence of material modulus on element-regularized densities. The sequential convex programming method, such as the method of moving asymptotes (MMA), is used to solve the optimization problem. The validation of the presented methodologies is demonstrated by a typical numerical example. 展开更多

This paper presents a new method for topology optimization of geometrical nonlinear compliant mechanisms using the element-free Galerkin method (EFGM). The EFGM is employed as an alternative scheme to numerically solve the state equations by fully taking advantage of its capability in dealing with large displacement problems. In the meshless method, the imposition of essential boundary conditions is also addressed. The popularly studied solid isotropic material with the penalization (SIMP) scheme is used to represent the nonlinear dependence between material properties and regularized discrete densities. The output displacement is regarded as the objective function and the adjoint method is applied to finding the sensitivity of the design functions. As a result, the optimization of compliant mechanisms is mathematically established as a nonlinear programming problem, to which the method of moving asymptotes (MMA) belonging to the sequential convex programming can be applied. The availability of the present method is finally demonstrated with several widely investigated numerical examples. 展开更多

Algorithm of heating temperature for Chongqing's winter greenhouses

Internal temperature is crucial to plant growth in the greenhouse. We investigated the patterns of constructing and managing greenhouses in Chongqing, and developed an algorithm of heating temperature for closed winter plastic greenhouses under the conditions of no man-made illumination, no ventilation and hot wind machine as the heating equipment, which are the most adopted pattern of greenhouses in Chongqing area. The algorithm includes two functions of temperature outside the greenhouse, which calculate the values of the warming estimation coefficient (WEC) and the gap between temperatures inside and outside the greenhouse with the measured data of outside temperature, and then give the value of internal temperature; the heat rating of heating facilities required by a greenhouse can be determined by this algorithm with given values of floor area and internal temperature, measured outside temperature and calculated WEC. Verification of the algorithm demonstrates a desirable accuracy of estimation. Algorithms of computing heating temperature for greenhouses of different constructing and managing patterns and in different geographic conditions can also be derived in a similar way. This research presents a paradigm for developing a feasible method to fit out greenhouses with appropriate heating facilities, aiming at energy efficient and cost efficient production. 展开更多

The function-layer model and working model of collaborative remote fault diagnosis system (FDS), which includes three layers: task layer, collaboration layer and diagnosing layer, are proposed. The running mechanism of the system is discussed. A collaborative FDS may consist of several subsystems running at different places and the subsystem consists of several fimction modules. A structure centered on data-bus is adopted in subsystem. All the function modules in subsystem are encapsulated into software intelligent chips (SICs) and SIC can but connect with data-bus. So, it is feasible to reuse these diagnosis fimction modules and the structure of subsystem in different diagnosis applications. With the reconfigurable SICs, several different function modules can reconstruct quickly some different diagnosis subsystems in different combinations, and some subsystems can also reconfigure a specified collaborative FDS. 展开更多

The method describes the curve based on steplength and turning angle, and the characteristics of the curve near a point. Then it introduces the process to extract "growing-rules"for 2D and 3D curves described by familiar analytical expressions and curvature-torsion expressions.
