Dataset classification is an essential fundament of computational intelligence in cyber-physical systems (CPS). Due to the complexity of CPS dataset classification and the uncertainty of clustering number, this paper focuses on clarifying the dynamic behavior of acceleration dataset which is achieved from micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) and complex image segmentation. To reduce the impact of parameters uncertainties with dataset classification, a novel robust dataset classification approach is proposed based on neighbor searching and kernel fuzzy c-means (NSKFCM) methods. Some optimized strategies, including neighbor searching, controlling clustering shape and adaptive distance kernel function, are employed to solve the issues of number of clusters, the stability and consistency of classification, respectively. Numerical experiments finally demonstrate the feasibility and robustness of the proposed method. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation. 展开更多

Pythagorean fuzzy set(PFS) can provide more flexibility than intuitionistic fuzzy set(IFS) for handling uncertain information, and PFS has been increasingly used in multi-attribute decision making problems. This paper proposes a new multiattribute group decision making method based on Pythagorean uncertain linguistic variable Hamy mean(PULVHM) operator and VIKOR method. Firstly, we define operation rules and a new aggregation operator of Pythagorean uncertain linguistic variable(PULV) and explore some properties of the operator.Secondly, taking the decision makers' hesitation degree into account, a new score function is defined, and we further develop a new group decision making approach integrated with VIKOR method. Finally, an investment example is demonstrated to elaborate the validity of the proposed method. Sensibility analysis and comprehensive comparisons with another two methods are performed to show the stability and advantage of our method. 展开更多

In this paper, we propose a new method to derive a family of regular rate-compatible low-density parity-check(RC-LDPC) convolutional codes from RC-LDPC block codes. In the RC-LDPC convolutional family, each extended sub-matrix of each extended code is obtained by choosing specified elements from two fixed matrices HE1K and HE1K, which are derived by modifying the extended matrices HE1 and HE2 of a systematic RC-LDPC block code. The proposed method which is based on graph extension simplifies the design, and prevent the defects caused by the puncturing method. It can be used to generate both regular and irregular RC-LDPC convolutional codes. All resulted codes in the family are systematic which simplify the encoder structure and have maximum encoding memories which ensure the property. Simulation results show the family collectively offer a steady improvement in performance with code compatibility over binary-input additive white Gaussian noise channel(BI-AWGNC). 展开更多

An iterative learning control problem for a class of uncertain linear parabolic distributed parameter systems is discussed,which covers many processes such as heat and mass transfer,convection diffusion and transport.Under condition of allowing system state initially to have error in the iterative process a closed-loop P-type iterative learning algorithm is presented,and the sufficient condition of tracking error convergence in L2 norm is given.Next,the convergence of the tracking error in L2 and W1,2 space is proved by using Gronwall-Bellman inequality and Sobolev inequality.In the end,a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Substantial usage of electronic-based renewable energy resources has completely changed the dynamic behaviours and response time of power networks,which are now fundamentally different from traditional power networks dominated by Synchronous Generators(SGs).This paper evaluates the dynamic response of small-scale Photovoltaic(PV)inverters,which dominate the distribution networks and influence the dynamics of the entire power grid.Recently,some critical events which occurred in Australia have shown that the dynamic responses of small-scale inverters do not always follow the inverter standards.Subsequently,these uncertainties make PV inverters’response unpredictable and have the potential to threaten the security of power networks.The detailed investigation of the dynamic response characteristics of small-scale PV inverters to grid disturbances is lacking in the current literature.This paper presents new findings from experimental testing under extensive network disturbance scenarios.Furthermore,a datadriven method is proposed to accurately describe the dynamics of solar PV subjected to various frequency disturbances.The results provide beneficial insight to the network operators in predicting power system response to extreme disturbances and avoiding potential grid instability issues,which will assist in achieving 100%penetration of power electronics-based renewable energy resources in the future. 展开更多

An integrated observer framework based mechanical parameters identification approach for adaptive control of permanent magnet synchronous motors is proposed in this paper.Firstly,an integrated observer framework is established for mechanical parameters’estimation,which consists of an extended sliding mode observer(ESMO)and a Luenberger observer.Aiming at minimizing the influence of parameters coupling,the viscous friction and the moment of inertia are obtained by ESMO and the load torque is identified by Luenberger observer separately.After obtaining estimates of the mechanical parameters,the optimal proportional integral(PI)parameters of the speed-loop are determined according to third-order best design method.As a result,the controller can adjust the PI parameters in real time according to the parameter changes to realize the adaptive control of the system.Meanwhile,the disturbance is compensated according to the estimates.Finally,the experiments were carried out on simulation platform,and the experimental results validated the reliability of parameter identification and the efficiency of the adaptive control strategy presented in this paper. 展开更多
